Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that if Alabama's Senate candidate Roy Moore wins, he'll face an ethics investigation immediately after he's sworn into office. "It would be a rather unusual beginning," McConnell said, speaking at a Wall Street Journal event.
"I'd like to save the seat, and it's a heck of a dilemma when you've got a completely unacceptable candidate bearing the label of your party within a month of the election," he added.
McConnell is one of several Republicans who have called for Moore to step aside. He has also spoken with President Trump and Vice President Pence about the allegations against the candidate, but Trump has yet to take a public stance on the issue.

If elected, Sen. Moore will immediately demand that McConnell face the Ethics Committee over Obamacare lies, Tax Reform lies, and imitating an honest politician.
Mitch McConnell just poisoned any chance of legally being able to win this. Moore will file lawsuit and win his right to sit and vote in Senate chambers.
Mconnell Is a complete embarrassment to the conservatives. Our legal system states innocent until proven guilty. Well so far the accusations have more holes in them than a screen door

Does McConnell want to save the seat for conservatives or for the establishment. If he really wanted to save the seat for conservatives, he would have every republican with a pulse endorse Judge Moore. Each would then add a promise that once Moore arrives in the US Senate, the Ethics Committee will look into the claims and respond appropriately if needed.

What criminal investigation —or Court would accept testimony that is thirty or forty years in the past? The human mind plays tricks it remembers facts that are consistent with that individual and their perception pf what others want to hear. Some things are embellished,somethings conveniently forgotten. Some things made up from whole cloth.The Senate ethics Committee ought be honest as to their motive-and I fully expect they ARE NOT honest.
I was there and saw it, so now the rumor has been substantiated. When will Senator McConnell step down in the face of these serious charges? It’s for the good of the Senate.
