Keurig's decision to pull its advertising from Sean Hannity's Fox News show is not going over well with some viewers.
Social-media users on Sunday posted videos of themselves smashing their Keurig coffee makers, two days after the company said it would no longer advertise during Hannity's show.
Keurig and other companies faced pressure to pull their ads following Hannity's interview with Roy Moore, the Senate candidate in Alabama who is facing allegations he engaged in sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old girl and pursued several teenagers while he was in his 30s.
Critics of the interview said Hannity went too easy on Moore. By Saturday, several companies including Keurig, 23andMe, and E-Trade announced they would pull their ads.

LOL...that's exactly my rationale for using my Keurig machine. WAY cheaper than going to Starbucks or Peet's, but not as cheap as grinding my own beans and doing a drip. I'm paying for that convenience. I see the same as you - $0.60 to $1.00 a cup, but I usually buy on sale and in quantity and get toward the lower end of that range.
The problem is it is too darn easy, so I consume too much!
Not according to the media.
Interesting theory! But the difficult part of cleaning the French press isnt washing it, its is dealing with the watery coffee grounds. We dont have a disposal so I cant just rinse them out and they are too wet for the garbage to just dump them. So I have to shake the water out as the mesh filter gets clogged easily then use a rubber spatula to get the sticking grounds out.
Im too busy to do that every time someone wants a cup of coffee.
Exactly! That experience and being a kid at the A & P when they had the coffee grinders at the end of each cash register line. The smell was intoxicating!
The huge disconnect came when drinking the results from the percolator...
I use a coffee press. I have bought some coffee for my daughter-in-laws Keurig but won’t anymore unless they change their minds.
I have a French Press for decaf after dinner. Love it!
I drink two cups at a time.
24 ounce refillable gas station cups.
My two-cup drip coffee maker was sold as a 12 cup.
I laugh.
10 minutes, awesome! I dont have anything 10 minutes from me except cows :-) 30 minutes would be a trip to the tiny town. 45 minutes and I get to the city.
This country living is totally different than what I was used to in California. There are pros and cons
Thanks EdnaMode.
LOL! One of the funniest Super Bowl commercials ever. :)
Diana, I have always admired your integrity. So what's your position on paper plates? LOL! (just kidding; I like to joke around).
You are right; we all have so much space for landfills in North America that we are lazy. In Europe, they have created systems where people put their garbage in a chute and it ends up creating electricity, all in the same apartment building.
Btw, I grew up in Chicago and my sister and her husband moved to Madtown. ;) As a child, we had many happy trips to WI.
Madison (actually Middleton) is where my father, a Chicago lawyer, passed away a couple of years back. I spent a bunch of money visiting him five or six times between Christmas and the spring a couple of years ago. I suddenly had this feeling that I needed to spend time with him.
Wisconites (Wisconians?)...People from WI are the salt of the earth and so friendly.
Anyway, all the best, FRiend. Julie :)
Paper plates? I shred them and throw them in the compost bin. They’re ‘brown’ versus ‘green’ and you need a good balance of both for, ‘Black Gold!’ (I’m kind of Compost Obsessed - but you should taste my tomatoes and you’ll see why!)
*Steps Off Crunchy Soap Box* :)
Thank you for the kind words; what a nice thing to wake up to!
I used to live in a farmhouse on Mid-Town Road outside of Verona - which is leaning towards Middleton. It’s all Country Club Golf Course, now. :(
I’m glad you have fond memories of Madison. It is definitely a unique place in this world!
