A Florida dairy farm is under criminal investigation after an undercover video from an animal rights group revealed workers kicking cows in the head and beating them with metal rods.
Warning: The following video includes footage that viewers may find disturbing.
The video was shot by a member of Animal Recovery Mission who went undercover in August as a farm worker at Larson Dairy in Okeechobee County. The footage shows men brutally abusing cows as the bovines cower and duck their heads. In some cases, the cows are unable to get away because they are confined by bars meant to restrain them for the milking process.
Larson Dairy was a supplier of Publix Super Markets, which has announced it suspended deliveries from the farm in the wake of the video....

I worked a dairy farm and sometimes the cows can be quite obstinate. Slapping them to move or get into place was a basic lesson in the laws of physics that the cow barely feels the violent urges of someone five times smaller. Now the steel bar...that’s uncalled for. We used a switch which was more psychological intimidation that anything to get them to move in and out of the stanchions when they were being difficult. Anyone that has milked cows knows they sometimes can be a challenge.
Wow, I just saw you on another thread! When were you gave a lot of factual information with numbers and all. And of course will be discounted because the men on the thread dont want to admit it.
We really need all the illegals deported, there are so many bad things about their culture that they insist on keeping. They are not here to be Americans. The animal abuse I saw in California was just heartbreaking. They dont take treat their pets any better.
And ironically, theres a bunch of white women running some animal rescue organizations and they are all liberals. Except for me. And not one of them could admit that the real problem was the illegals causing all the misery. What idiots.
With some exceptions, I have tried not to do anything to animals I wouldn’t want to see done to myself or another human.
Even animals that are destined to be used for food need to be treated humanely.
I’ve never trusted people who show clear indications to enjoy abusing small to larger creatures. It’s always been my take that if you’ll do that to an animal, at some point you’ll have a proclivity to move on to larger animals or humans.
At time when moving cows along, you do need to prod them to a certain extent, but it needn’t be abusive. Tapping them on the rump will move them along.
yes the left as I posted above always support the cultures that do not value human or animal rights.
So very true. Content cows give more milk. Here is a video from the Highlawn Dairy Farm in the Berkshires that uses state-of-the-art robotic milking machines so sophisticated, the cows tell the machine when they want to be milked! Pretty cool.
And besides that, the few milk cows I've been around just walk in and volunteer to give up their milk as it becomes uncomforatable after a time. Any workers abusing milk cows are just sadistic low lifes who should be fired.
That being said, anyone who does abuse animals, usually go on to abuse humans as well, so I hold nothing but contempt for them.
Can we just kick it down the road a little?
They need to be beaten from head to toe with baseball bats. Then thrown over the border in a heap if they're illegals.
Who else do you think works at these places? Cheap labor express.
And therefore the owners don’t do anything about this sort of thing.
“I worked a dairy farm and sometimes the cows can be quite obstinate.”
Children can be quite obstinate too.....
nice. I’m going to start using dairy and eggs from farms that are like this vs these nasty places that hire illegals and have major animal abuse and are dirty facilities.
I did say that these cretins should be painfully punished in like fashion to what they dish out to the poor cows. If they are illegals, certainly the owners should be fined and prosecuted. And the cretin perps should be thrown back over the border to rot.
“I hate human beings who abuse animals.”
Agree!! I’m very glad to see a little outrage here. A couple of years ago, anything I posted here regarding animal cruelty was met with angry responses that I must be some kind of liberal infiltrator. I am a Die Hard Conservative, yet I fear what I might do if I witnesses someone being needlessly cruel to an innocent animal. Responsible Hunter? Great...go for it...a quick clean kill, then harvest the meat as it intended to be. But needless cruelty to a captive animal? I hope for the sake of the perpetrator I’m not there to see it....
I hate human beings who abuse animals.
And not just a little hate, a lot of hate.
I do too Chris......I do too......wish I were queen of the world for just one day. The abusers would never do it again.
We send Horses to Mexico for Slaughter because its Illegal here.
Just sayin...
I know that and saw an undercover film of how they stab the horses in the backbone before they kill them. I despise people that do this and those who ALLOW it!!!
There is no “reason” for animal abuse. I try buy dairy products whose producers state on their packaging that their practices are humane, and invite the public to visit their facilities.
“I agree with you, that some people from Mexico seem to have no respect for animal life.”
It’s the third world, not just Mexico. Think Bell Curve.
Surprised they didn’t allege this against Roy Moore...
I agree.
All cultures are the same.
