An attorney for Leigh Corfman, whose story of a sexual encounter with Roy Moore when he was 32 and she was 14, broke today, said Corfman stands by her story.
Hoover attorney Eddie Sexton told AL.com that Corfman has wanted to publicly talk about the time in 1979 when Moore dated her, but never felt like it was the right time.
"Her kids are out of the house now, grown, and I think she felt like it was the right time to do it," said Sexton. "I'm sure she was scared to death."
Corfman had been talking with reporters from the Washington Post for several weeks, he said.
Sexton said Corfman's decision wasn't affected by the Harvey Weinstein scandal, in which numerous women have publicly accused the movie producer of sexual harassment and assault.
"She really thought about it before she (decided to speak publicly)," Sexton said, in part because Gadsden is a close-knit community.

Corfman’s accusation does not pass the smell test. Here is why. She claimed he, at age 32 and in 1979, asked her, at age 14, for her phone number. No adult male in 1979 would have asked a 14-year old girl for her phone number because it would have been her home number. There were no cell phones in 1979. Therefore the odds would have been astronomical that her mom or dad would have answered the phone. The first question out of the parent’s mouth would have been who are you and why are you calling my daughter? Click!
This story makes as much sense as Obama’s birth certificate that Serriff Joe debunked. Obama’s father’s race was listed as African-American which no one was using in 1964. Negroe was the appropriate designation in 1964.

Breitbart scooped this attack. It might be the most significant aspect to this. It made the WaPo and ole Mitch have to move sooner than they wanted to. I am sure they wanted to release this two days before the election. Now, there is time for the other side of this to get out.
Were these women paid.
Were there any monetary offers made to find these stories.
Who do these women support politically and are they actively campaigning.
What do their social media sites have to say.
Do they have a history of making allegations.
Do their backgrounds fit factually into their allegations.
These types of questions would have ZERO prayer of being answered if this story had hit a few days before the election. But if the story falls apart now, Mitch McConnell better pray for a good hiding spot. He is toast.
It would be interesting if a little birdie were to share just who is funding the attorney Eddie Saxton; and who hired him.
