In an interview for Billboard magazine, country singer Faith Hill spoke out in favor of gun control and said it is time for the NRA to “tell the truth” about guns. Speaking about last month’s Las Vegas mass shooting, in which guns were used illegally to kill innocent concert-goers, Hill referenced the doctors who treated those wounded in the attack, saying: “The doctors that [treated] the wounded, they saw wounds like you’d see in war. That’s not right. Military weapons should not be in the hands of civilians. It’s everyone’s responsibility, including the government and the National Rifle Association, to tell the truth.”
“We all want a safe country,” the “Wild One” singer added.
Her husband, Tim McGraw, reasserted his support for “common sense” gun control during the same interview, saying, “Look, I’m a bird hunter — I love to wing-shoot. However, there is some common sense that’s necessary when it comes to gun control.”

Right now the country music community is pissed due to it happening on their turf....Aldean’s concert. Once the emotion is gone, they will get back to reality. If they are still talking this way in a year, then I will quit listening to country music. So far, I haven’t heard much more then these two saying anything like this.
Faith, the NRA isn’t the group that needs to tell the truth about guns, it’s the gun control lobby. Oh, and knowing something about guns before you open your mouth helps! Gotta go, Amazon just delivered my chainsaw bayonet for the automatic AR-15 I bought without a background check through the gun show loop hole. Had ya going there, didn’t I, Faith?...

Spoken like a true “Golfer with a gun”. Yes, someone shot with a shotgun is far better. Oh, by the way, a shotgun is “a weapon of war” too using your idiotic argument.
The 2nd Amendment ain’t about bird hunting.
Country music became big corporate business a long time ago and that’s why the singers are being corralled into political “correctness”.
My guess is:
a) law of averages
b) trying to curry favor with MSM, Hollywood to become more than just country singers
Tell that to their armed body guards.
We already have all the laws we need on the books. What happens, as in this last shooting, is the fact that someone did not follow the laws. Outlawing guns is not the answer. Making sure everyone knows what the laws are and follows them is the answer. Someone who knew the laws and knew how to shoot is what brought the situation to a close.
