If observed climate variables such as temperature or precipitation change over time, it raises the question as to whether human influence plays a role. To investigate this, scientists are applying a method for estimating causal relationships.
The fact that greenhouse gases emitted by humans are changing the global climate system is scientifically undisputed. Climate researchers often look to the future with their models and try to calculate how the increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere will affect various climate variables.
To test whether these climate variables are influenced by rising greenhouse gas emissions from human activities, scientists have developed the detection and attribution method.
The method involves a combined analysis of long observation series and simulation experiments in which climate models are calculated both with and without human influence in order to compare them with the actual observations. If the latter are only reproduced by the simulations with emissions, it can be concluded that man-made climate change is demonstrable in the observations.
The detection and attribution method is an important instrument for climate research and was used in the last UN climate report in the chapter on the evidence of man-made climate change.

Interestingly newseek reported just this week that a big reason that the Ross Ice Shelf keeps melting & cleaving is that there’s a large volcano network underneath it (about the size of Yellowstone’s).
Funny how for decades environmentalists have been saying it’s caused by carbon, now they’re forced to admit it’s volcanics.
That’s the beauty of it. It can never be proven BECAUSE it is always changing.
Well, when absolutely nothing changes in fifty years, we will have our answer.
Yup.
Utilize liberal media, politicians and celebrities to keep pounding the meme and eventually it becomes (accepted) fact.
Here’s an even greater challenge. Can it ever be disproven?
Biased headline and article.
Assumes the man-made climate change mantra is true and all that is lacking is a way to prove it.
Well.....it cant....because it doesnt exist
All the doomsday predictions are so far into the future that no one living today will be alive at that time. The claims of model accuracy is questionable; they can’t reliably tell me if it will rain two weeks from today.
How can they predict volcanic activity anytime in the future? If they could, earthquakes wouldn’t be a surprise.
Sun activity is as unpredictable as volcanic years into the future.
The idea is to frighten people enough so they can tax the hell out of them. These liberals wear me out.
Double whammy. The scientific method says nothing about “proving” anything, and fails on yet another level when scrutinizing a political lie.
Yep. You cannot prove it’s man-made but you sure can convince a lot of stupid people that it is!
Please read the link of my last post. You will never doubt again.

Just because the earth “was” a certain temperature at a certain time...doesn’t mean it should always be that temperature. In fact, it’s ridiculous.
If some of their predictions would ever come true we might believe them. How many times have they predicted that Miami would be underwater in 10 years if we don’t...give them totalitarian government? It’s very much unlike the prediction for the solar eclipse in August which was spot on.
“The fact that greenhouse gases emitted by humans are changing the global climate system is scientifically undisputed.”
Well I guess that settles it then. No need to prove anything. What a ridiculous thing to say given the headline. It just proves pure propaganda.
