Within hours of the slaughter of 26 people at the church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, Democrats were calling for expanded background checks to cover the private transfers of guns. If they had waited a few hours, they would have learned that such a law wouldn't have stopped the attack in Texas. Nor would it have stopped any of the other mass public shootings since at least 2000.

Isn’t the very existence of the system an infringement on everyone’s rights?
Since virtually everything associated with the Feds is a mess, ‘twould be easier to list things that are NOT a mess.
To start, there is....er.....uh.....
Howz about I get back to you?
Ping
You’d figure a more perfect world after 8 years of obama.
He spent $10+ trillion and we have nothing to show for it.
The system has denied me on about 1/3 of my purchases for the past 25 years. My name is the same as someone who killed a cop in New York long ago. I never lived in NY and I have a different ID and SSN. If the background check person is a lib, any match will usually deny my purchase. And on the other hand they don’t try so hard to prohibit criminals.
“...If the background check person is a lib...”
They can read?
We haven’t had a plane go down due to terrorism in ages. Does that say anything?
They want to deny you so any excuse is good and you are out of your money.
ALL gun laws are unconstitutional. Every last person in jail for owning a gun is a political prisoner put there by enemies of the United states. The 2nd Amendment is crystal clear: “The RIGHT of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed” and by “arms” they do not mean those things connected to your hands. If selling crack to school children was a constitutional right, you would have a right to sell crack to school children. It-does-not-matter if you agree with it or not, it would be a RIGHT. If a person disagreed with that NOTHING is stopping them from moving to another country. We seem to live in a USA now where lawyers and politician bend, mold and infringe upon the constitution without any fear of resistance. Why? Because nobody tags these enemies of the constitution and brings them to task. Mass shootings are a DIRECT result of 2nd amendment unconstitutional infringement.
“If they had waited a few hours, they would have learned that such a law wouldn’t have stopped the attack in Texas. Nor would it have stopped any of the other mass public shootings since at least 2000.”
They “know” that, they don’t really care about whether or not the BG checks work or not, because the only thing they want is to somehow to neuter the Second Amendment and then round up ALL the guns. Some a$$hole from some anti-gun group was on with Tucker Carlson last night. He made no bones about his group’s intent to do away with the 2A! It makes it so much easier for a totalitarian state, which they espouse, to control the populace if citizens have no means of defense against them. That is the REAL issue., because they probably are “happy” that 26 Christians lost their lives.
To finish my post #10.
When I said “Mass shootings are a DIRECT result of 2nd amendment unconstitutional infringement” look what happened when NRA firearms instructor Stephen Willeford shot the mass killer Devin Kelley. Kelley immediately dropped his firearm, got into his car and drove away 95 mph while calling his daddy. This scumbag booked out of there like a fag on homojuice. Mass shooters are cowards, punk ass bitch cowards and all it takes is ONE person to shoot back. When the coward thinks NOBODY will shoot back, that ENCOURAGES them!
The federal background check system was sabotoged by traitors, including some in the Air Force.
But AG Sessions will hunt them done any day now. \sarc
-——ALL gun laws are unconstitutional-——
That’s just plain silly....
The constitution isn’t a suicide pact...
You really want persons who are under psychiatric care taking psychotropic drugs be able to buy a weapon silly nilly?
How about a known violent felon who just get out of federal prison and under probation?
There are too many gun laws on the books. There are lots of good ressons to have reasonable gun regulations to protect the common good of all law abiding citizens and no need to add more liberal gun law fantasies...
A known violent felon should be in jail (or better yet, dead), not giving you a phony justification for denying someone’s natural rights.
Known violent felons serve their time and are released into the population...
I have no problem them getting their right to process a weapon after a time frame of two years proving they can be law abiding.
Wow. New York Daily News publishes an article by John Lott.
They can probably read, but all they need is a plausable reason to deny you and they do that well. They hate guns and if they make your life hell then that is just fine with them. They can’t be identified to be sued. They play *od over your purchase and they are very unlike “God”.
It’s not about guns...they hate US. Passionately and enthusiastically. Because we demand our freedom they despise us.
Armed pilots, Air Marshals and passengers that are not going to let someone take over a plane with boxcutters.
