On the 1300th block of Winters Avenue at CAPCO, Inc. Federal Agents are executing a court ordered search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation. We'll keep you posted as more details become available.
This is happening in Grand Junction, CO, where I live.
What do they make or do?..................
Thanks for posting, could be a big deal.
I am good friends with the previous owners. Great people. Looks like they sold it at a good time. New owners must not be completely on the up and up...
Cartridge activated devices (mil), weapons tripods/mounts (grenade launchers, machine gun mounts, tripods) , and electronic speciality.
this could be anything, including foreign penetration/espionage activity of employee(s) or... just one, with friends.
What feds- is the question. They’s all have SWAT teams, now- recall the ammo buys of the last 4 years. Even NOAA.
ping
Mechanical Engineering Company that would win contracts for the M-16, Ammo boxes, tripods for crew served weapons. I knew the previous owners. Great people. Looks like they sold at a good time, however the new owners may not be on the up and up...
They make very nice 40mm grenade launchers. I bet this is an ITAR paper issue or ATF form 1 or 2 issue. Maybe excise tax? When you get this big, you are bound to make mistakes. State Department will tell you one thing, DoD another, and ATF another.....a lawyer’s dream and company’s nightmare.
NOAA needs ammo because they change climate data.
Ill be in Junction in a couple weeks. Used to live in Delta county.
Does Hillary work there?
If they hadn’t sold it and the previous owners are great people, then this wouldn’t be happening. So I am not sure why you think they sold it at a good time.
Montrose here.
Bttt.
5.56mm
Ill be staying there a couple of nights while I work in Delta.
Not anything earth shattering just yet. Here is the official story from KREX:
Federal Agents Raid CAPCO, Inc.
Now, the other day, I had posted the story in a local Colorado Facebook group, and received a response from someone who said they worked there (until yesterday) and to Google "DCIS Cyber Security" and we would have a better idea of why they were raided. DCIS apparently does cyber investigations for the Department of Defense. CAPCO, Inc. was a DoD contractor. DCIS also does several other investigations/functions for the DoD, so anything on this right now is mere speculation, but we'll see. There are some hush hush rumors it may be related to Russia.
