Democrats appeared poised to make huge gains in the Republican-controlled House of Delegates and potentially take control of the chamber for the first time in 18 years as strong voter turnout put a slew of GOP incumbents in danger of losing their seats.
The biggest upsets occurred early in Northern Virginia, where Democrat Danica Roem became the first transgender person elected to the House of Delegates, defeating social conservative Del. Robert G. Marshall, R-Prince William, and Democrat Lee Carter shocked House Republican Whip Jackson H. Miller, R-Manassas, despite tepid support from his own party.

For the record President Trump lost Virginia and New Jersey in 2016.
Furthermore, the Democrats put a lot of money into winning these races.
Don’t fall for the media’s lies. The DNC is in trouble and they know it.
>>>My daughter was excited about voting for it<<<
Are you meeting with your Lawyer today to change your Will?
LOL - #;^)
I said district, but I meant precinct.
The Tidewater area is big, and it’s not what people think it is. It’s the same thing when people say, “San Diego is a navy town,” which means the Dems win it 60-40 instead of 70-30.
If I’m a Republican pol in Virginia, the thing that terrifies me is what happened in Loudoun County and Prince William County. They are the two huge counties slightly to the West of Fairfax and Arlington. Fairfax and Arlington are heavy Dem. Loudoun and PWC have traditionally been narrowly Democratic. And you can get Republican representatives and delegates out of those counties.
The Republicans were utterly decimated in those two counties last night. With their population growth, if this trend continues, Virginia will be a mini version of California in 20 years where no Republican has any hope for statewide office and the rural part of the state is ruled by their urban counterparts.

Would not surprised me if there is voter fraud in VA.
President Trump did not win in Virginia or New Jersey in 2016 election.
The Bushes campaigned for the Republicans in Virginia and New Jersey.
This was the Bush family trying to regain control over the Republican party and they lost again.
This was a loss for the GOPe and not the populist that have been winning.
The media is once again lying, lying and lying.
If the swamp can be drained, then the Rat majority counties in the north will also go down the drain. Those Rats that become unemployed will go to MA, NY, IL and CA.
Unemployment of Democrat political, social, media and lobbyists is a great time.
VA will become sane again.

Would not surprised me if there is voter fraud in VA.
Would not suprise me if there was no voter fraud. Just a lot of transplant/immigrant new Democrat voters and noodle spined “Republicans” not firing up the base. That right there is a recipe for electoral disaster.
The press is trying to spin it that a warmed over GOPe hack losing to a Dem in a blue state is a knock on Trump.
That so many Democrat voters in the DC suburbs came out to swing the vote is IMO just more evidence that Trump’s efforts to drain the swamp are starting to work—or at least a real threat.
We are va residents and all I can say is we could wallpaper our garage with all the Democrat mailers, especially that freak. It started in June and July. My Republican did not reach out until late Sept. It was a very expensive effort. They wanted it more.

As a registered Republican in Florida I regularly got more mail from Democrats than Republicans. We got two mailers from Trump 2016. One in the primary and one in the general. We got at least 4 mailers from Dems in the general. Trump hates women, etc. I have no idea what the GOP spends their money on but it is not direct mail.
Blue state, blah gubernatorial candidate, snowflakes all come home to mama to roost and circle the wagons. A pity. I hate losing anything. But this is an indication of nothing. Outside of Blue-state-ia and Snowflake-ia, the rules of physics still work.
BOTH are factors. One of the factors is the area called NOVA or the nothern VA area close to D.C. From seeing a map from a previous posting, there are red areas. Amazing.
The northern half of VA is full of people who work in DC and flip the state blue. Just like NYC/Albany and the coast of CA.
A bachelor button flower blue or blueish purple color type in regards to VA.
Take 50 scantron Virginia optical ballots marked for the Dems.....scan them 6 times each (like they did in one district in Detroit during election 2016)...voila 300 votes for Northram...that’s how they cheat in Fairfax and Northern Virginia!
Republicans “control” the statewide seats in TX and have a virtual supermajority in the House. Still can’t get conservative legislation passed. The problem is not party label-related. It is that a majority of the American people actually voted for the “What Happened?” Witch, and that many R’s are D’s in drag. This majority will grow until it overwhelms the electoral college effect. This is why many of us are saying that our school children must not be allowed to attend Bernie academies aka socialist government schools. If that isn’t a problem for many here, then the Republic is doomed.
In fact, Northam did slightly worse in the first ring suburbs in Northern Virginia than McAuliffe did. Where did he do better? Literally everywhere else.
Why do you suspect fraud based on that map? Those blue counties/cities are the big ones. Loudon County is one of those blue counties. It’s historically Republican - it carried the state for Bush in 2004 - and yet we lost it 2:1 yesterday. You can’t win the state with those kinds of margins.
