The Comal County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that it is re-examining a sex assault case involving the Sutherland Springs shooter that may have fallen through the cracks.
Sheriff Mark Reynolds told KENS 5 the Comal County Sheriff's Office received a call on June 18, 2013, for a reported sex assault.
The suspect was Devin Kelley. The name of the victim has not been released.
Reynolds said the case hasn't been touched since October 2013. The investigation stalled when Kelley moved to Colorado.

Does Kelly have siblings?
If not, the case for poor parenting gains in probability.
This scum fell through all sorts of cracks.
Jeez...how many damned things fell through the cracks regarding this monster?
Failure of leftist government.
Some squishy blue haired liberal refused to do her job.
Everything about the guy “fell through the cracks.”
...and now they’re saying he’s an escapee from a mental facility. Gosh, didn’t see this one coming. I guess we need more gun laws. /s
Seem to be a lot of cracks around this guy for things to fall into.
Why?
You stop investigating a crime because your suspect moved out of state?
You investigate the crime to conclusion and then if necessary extradite the suspect for trial.
I think that Comal County needs a new sheriff if this is the way he does business.
Sexual Assault of an adult?
Man this turd has been a hot mess for quite a while
So.... Trump was right.
Absolutely
This is a new sheriff.
And they're ALL the same...intense planning over a period of time.
It's the "how do you get from evil plans.....to building the frenzy to carry it out" that stumps me.
When do we find out he was known to the FBI like practically every other mass shooter in the past few years?
My question is: his family had to have known that he illegally possessed firearms.
Most people know about a domestic violence conviction barring the convicted from owning or possessing firearms.
Time for a civil suit against the family.
We need to have nut houses.
Had them, the PC folks shut them down after a movie.
Because one of your neighbors was raped by the man. If your daughter was raped by him would you want me to just drop the case because he moved to another state?
I get that it cost more to depose the guy out of state but I guess the old TV Police drama cliché works here And dont try to leave town
I certainly dont know what happened but it seems to me perhaps they should have had him arrested and on bail.
