Buckhead’s revelations in that post may have also very well prevented 2 Supreme Court justices from being appointed by John Kerry (not to mention all of the judges on the lower courts). Granted, Roberts has been far from perfect, but can you imagine how much worse it would have been with Kerry appointees instead for both him *and* Alito with all of the rulings the Court has made since 2005 and the impact that would have had?
They would have gotten away with throwing an election from a completely false news story.
He still maintains to the present day the story was accurate - that he just had to be pay the price for taking on President Bush as an incumbent president:
