Both of these TAX CUTS were REAL tax cuts...not crazy pickers of winner and losers, as this tax INCREASE is.
If the economy BOOMS ( which it would NOT ) if this POS is passed as is ( which it won’t ), then IF salaries rise ( which is NOT a rational expectation ), then automatically, all of you who don’t get hit by tax increases this time, WILL get hit later on. Not to mention the fact that these figures are not stable/written in stone, but instead, rise over the ensuing years. But then, you and many others here, don’t know that. Pity that....

Whomever wrote this was probably not alive, or was a child back then and NOT on any floor of any exchange.
The vast majority of loopholes were cut out completely, in the '86 Tax Cut; there were NO added loopholes!
Today, the ObamaCare 3% tax on both the buyer and seller of a property is still in effect; poverty level, lower middle class, middle class and on up...doesn't matter, they ALL get hit.
And this TAX INCREASE for many, gives people who pay NO Fed taxes at all and corporations HUGE benefits! Is THAT not "bad" ?
How about the doing away with deductions for very high medical costs, taxing the payer of alimony but NOT the one who gets it? And there are many more such "hidden" tax increases, that would harm all kinds of Middle Class people, in this horrid proposition!

The market already boomed in anticipation of passage, starting 12 months ago. I am probably getting “hit” this time since I deduct maybe 10k in state and local taxes. However this is not about me, and should not be. Many people are confusing the good of the country with the good of their own tax situation. That’s not how it should be. That’s the path to ruin for America.
You and your ilk talk as though taking more money from people who are the ones who keep the economy and the markets humming is "good" for the nation; it isn't!
Nor will prices fall, should companies come back to this nation and make stuff here.
And those who just shout:"MOVE", have less understanding what's what, than those who post and tout incorrect charts!
What's "GOOD" for this nation is an across the board tax CUT for EVERYONE and NOT paying tax money, by the handfuls, to those who don't pay or pay a teensy amount of Fed taxes and to corporations!
CUTTING GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTGS, STOPPING SPENDING ON USELESS AND OFTEN PATENTLY RIDICULOUS "STUDIES" ( making shrimp walk on a treadmill, etc. ), CUTTING OUT CRONY PAYOFFS, AND SO MUCH MORE, IS WHAT COULD EASILY OFFSET THE TAX CUTS !
Hurting many people ( and not just the "wealthy"!),hurts this nation and why you and others here don't understand that, is the problem!
It isn’t just deductions being lost - they took away our personal & dependent exemptions too. The bigger the family - the more you get hosed. I still have 5 kids at home.
Punish families with a lot of kids. Take away the adoption credit. Keep funding Planned Parenthood.
And do this while declaring this is the largest tax cut EVAH!

For me, yes, it's personal; however, I also see what a disaster this is for others who have a different situation than I do and have compassion for them; unlike you.
