The U.S. Army's top enlisted man is close to unveiling the final version of the World War II-era Pinks and Greens uniform that could be approved for all soldiers next year. Sergeant Major of the Army Daniel Dailey and Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley began considering the possibility of bringing back the iconic two-tone uniform of the "greatest generation" for soldiers to wear as an everyday office uniform earlier this year.

Seems like all the services with the exception of the jar heads change uniforms every time they change their Chief of Staff. Always seemed to me every time we got a new Commandant, the first thing he did was make some change to the uniform regs. Usually something subtle like not rolling up sleeves, or tattoo related stuff.
Most people might not notice, but it happens.

And those guys aren’t even the big fig newtons. Theres pictures of a couple of their commanders(?) that have medals going all the way down the coat and on to the left hand pocket of their pants. Only true heros wear them on their pants.

Absolutely impossible to keep clean. You think you had troubles consider the poor swab that had to wear Navy Whites. The only pockets were the watch pocket that was sure to be soiled by a finger. Chalk was the only cure for tropical ports.

I am all for uniform changes, but I wish they would make sure warfighting is in order first.

And the more we had to wear whites, the more they served spaghetti at chow. Argh
Young idiot that I was, I tossed a pair of red socks into the laundry with my whites. Thought no one would notice the pink tint, but a Navy wife at the geedunk suggested I bleach the hell out of the uniform, which I did.

I wish they would stop wasting money. Pick a uniform and stay with it for 50 years.

Too bad SMA’s seem to have nothing better to do than waste troopers money on yet another uniform.
You folks know that a set of ACU/DCUs cost a Solider about $120 per set not including under clothes nor boots?
Class As cost in the realm of $400, not counting awards and decorations.

Amen, get rid of those darn berets....ugh! I always did believe them to be too “girly”.
