At least 16 people have been shot inside a Texas church after a gunman opened fire during the Sunday morning service.
The shooting happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, where around 50 people usually attend service, according to local reports.
Witnesses said a man 'in full gear' walked inside the church and opened fire just before 10.30am.
Neighbors in the area said they may have heard the shooter reload multiple times.
Another witness at the scene said a two-year-old was also shot in the attack.
According to KSAT, there were at least six helicopters called in to transport victims to the hospital.
It's unclear if anyone was fatally wounded in the attack.

The targets in today’s shooting were Christians. There is no other explanation or motive. It’s all there right in front of us.

That would make them martyrs who are now in heaven with Christ. Our world sorely needs the peace only Christ can bring as we will soon enter the advent season. Only He can heal the evil plague that has swallowed Earth in too many places. May we all return to the love that only Jesus can bring.

My church has a security group called Parish Keepers.

It’s totally legit to carry arms in Church.

Everyone, myself included, tries to twist the story to fit their prejudices. “he must be Muslim.” Is a local favorite. Myself, I wondered if he was Antifa from the time I first saw the court marshal. It would be nice if we all could patiently wait the story out and then look with a critical eye. Won’t happen.

It is said the Shooter was wearing all black like ANTIFA and ISIS. The shooter shave his beard for Halloween and didn’t explain why. Now we can tell he was a Social Justice Warrior based on his Linked in page. See post #476.
Finally, this is Weekend ANTIFA wanted to begin the Civil War. I read he was teaching a Bible class in 2013, but his “likes” on his Facebook page showed he liked Atheists.
Why did he pick out a country church with a small congregation? Perhaps he thought it would be “easy”. Thankfully one of the people cased and killed him.
