At least 16 people have been shot inside a Texas church after a gunman opened fire during the Sunday morning service.
The shooting happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, where around 50 people usually attend service, according to local reports.
Witnesses said a man 'in full gear' walked inside the church and opened fire just before 10.30am.
Neighbors in the area said they may have heard the shooter reload multiple times.
Another witness at the scene said a two-year-old was also shot in the attack.
According to KSAT, there were at least six helicopters called in to transport victims to the hospital.
It's unclear if anyone was fatally wounded in the attack.

Texas Congressman Vicente Gonzalez said on MSNBC he had received reports that “24 people are now deceased from this incident and 20 people are injured. We won’t have final numbers until probably a few more hours.”
Gonzalez added that “apparently the shooter was not from the area, he was from outside of that area.”

No disrepect but every time one of the hard leftists gets in trouble coincidentally we have an event like this that takes all the oxygen out of the air.If this is what is actually happening it let’s us know just how evil the people we are up against truly are.

I go to church every Sunday ARMED with my Glock .40 cal with hollow points and extra mags in my Bible briefcase. I am to my knowledge the only armed person there. Our deacons do not want people to be armed. Without me, we are open to any and all assaults. I have brought this up to them before and the deacons blew me off saying nothing was going to happen. This keeps happening and happening in churches and no one, NO ONE is paying attention. I have only attened one church where they took security seriously. They had at a minimum 5 armed security men walking around during Sunday School. They locked the Church down during the preaching hour. You could only enter the main door, which was locked and secured during services, with two armed men in the lobby. I heard that there were several of the ladies who carried in their purses also at that Church and they also had a man driving around the buildings and parking lots in a golf cart during church also.

I would add, the longer this guy’s FB stays up, the less chance it was him. They tend to quickly remove the FB page of the actual bad guy before the name even gets out.
Our local OPC is allowed to carry in worship, encouraged as well.

“Ward” is a common enough last name. Also, I thought I heard the shooter wasn’t from the area.
So far the crazy’s with guns or knives have been white guys, who were Bernie supporters.
Sounds like another pisslam artist, anniversary of Ft. Hood shooting, just few months ago another pisslam artist hit TN church. I carry everywhere, funny nothing happens when I’ve walked in airports, schools, concerts, clubs, etc. If there are no magnetometers concealed is concealed.
