People have loved to joke like this for years, and there is a lot of truth to it, but what people don't realize is that the reason the Catholic Church has a problem with priests molesting little boys is because the Catholic Church has had a problem with massive numbers of homosexual men entering the priesthood, and THESE are the ones doing the molesting. Vatican II changed the rules so that admitted homosexuals could be priests as long as they promised to be celibate (har har). It has been reported that some seminaries have attracted so many gay men that they have become damn near bathhouses, and, as is the usual custom, once you have let some homosexuals enter into your organization, the homosexuals then start showing preference for other homosexuals, until the infiltration is so complete that they wield a good portion of the power, and they no longer feel the need to limit or hide their behavior.

It’s probably for the best that most FReepers don’t really have the capacity to grasp why Richard Dreyfuss didn’t say or do anything to stop it, and why Kevin Spacey thought it was perfectly fine to grope his son in front of him. The vast majority of replies on this thread will think Dreyfuss is just a liberal wimp but if anyone ever gets right down to it, I’d say the likelihood is very high that he did not disapprove.

“Ick” or not, keep it in the back of your mind as stories like this continue to surface. They know how our moral sense limits our capability to grasp what they’ve been doing and are playing that for all it’s worth. The “mystifying” parents leaving their sons with known gay pervs? No doubt, because Man's weakness was always there. However, until Vatican II, the Catholic Church recognized Man's weakness and worked to prevent the inevitable outcomes by denying homosexuals any legitimacy. So, the problem surely existed in the old days, but not on the scale to which it existed after the ill-advised Vatican II legitimized it. Whereas before it might have been a notable anomaly, now it is a plague.
