White House slams Bushes for Iraq War after ‘blowhard’ dig
NY Post ^ | November 4, 2017 | Mary Kay Linge

The White House punched back at both Presidents Bush on Saturday over their criticism of fellow Republican President Donald Trump as a destructive force in the party.

“If one presidential candidate can disassemble a political party, it speaks volumes about how strong a legacy its past two presidents really had,” a White House official told CNN. “And that begins with the Iraq war, one of the greatest foreign policy mistakes in American history.”

The Bushes let loose on Trump in a new book on their careers and presidencies, “The Last Republicans,” said media reports.

“He’s a blowhard,” said President George H.W. Bush, who was president from 1989 to 1993.

His son George W. Bush thinks that Trump’s ego and lack of humility could tear the GOP apart.

“I’m worried that I will be the last Republican president,” said the younger Bush, who was president from 2001 to 2009.

Neither man voted for Trump last year.

Upon taking office, President Trump was handed the biggest sh*t sandwich of any President since at least Nixon.

Trump is busy cleaning up the messes of Aegean Stables proportions made by two Bushes’ , two Clintons and one Obama.

Who knows what the future brings, but so far Trump is making amazing headway solving the disasters dumped in his lap

All but Bush 41 had 8 year to get the job done on their watch and failed miserably and now they want to snipe at the guy cleaning up their messes.

That's just BS.

If the Bushes voted for Hillary they need to hand in their ‘membership cards’ and join the democrat party.

Did the Bushes get a cut of Hillary’s ‘uranium’ take? Any paid ‘speeches’ to the Russians? If they can’t see who Hillary is they’re too stupid and vile to be in our party.

Good for you CodeToad. I registered in the Constitution party some time ago. I'm a Trump man to the bitter end.

There is something seriously wrong with the Republican Party. I only support Americans from this day forward.

If you do not have overwhelming evidence and impeccable credentials, do not attempt to pick a fight with Donald Trump. So far, nobody has been that overwhelming or impeccable.

I understand the counterpunch can be crippling and, well, career-ending, for those who take too wide a swing.

And I think The Donald warms to engaging in a good and worthy fight.

I did the same thing in our local and State elections. I voted by AMERICAN conscience! I even voted for several Democrats since the Republican candidates were crooked as Hell.

Why O why did Ronnie pick that dork for his VP?

Why indeed. Remember HW’s reference to Reagan economic policies as “voodoo economics “? The Bushes did not like Reagen.

I would never go THAT far. Though I did vote for Bernie in the California primary. The Donald had it wrapped up and I decided to use my vote for good and try to stab crooked Hillary in the heart.

My theory is, even the worst Republican is better than any Democrat. John McCain may be the exception to the rule.

I guess the brave Bush family decided to time the release of these teaser/tidbits for today thinking they would escape the attention and response from the WH due to Trump's travels.

They figured wrong.

Yep, I member that, windsorknot. I like to think Reagan could have been elected without kowtowing to the establishment with a Bush selection.

I wonder if Pence is the new H.W. though I doubt it. If he had picked an establishment guy, we probably wouldn't see the establishment on his ass so hard.

“even the worst Republican is better than any Democrat.”

Not really. Both Bushed were a disaster. One thing about Republicans is that people give them a pass when they do the same damage a Democrat would do. No one watches. They just cheerlead. Both Bushes did significant and long lasting damage to this nation.

Neither Bush stood for anything. I remember reading the never-Trumper John Podhoretz account of the first meeting of the Bush reelection team in 1992. Podhoretz had been a junior speechwriter. One person tried to list the reasons to reelect Bush and for the first 20 minutes the only one they could find was “been President for four years”

This pathetic POS zipped his lips through 8 years of his own presidency, never defending himself then glued his libs shut for 8 more and now he speaks up?

NEWSFLASH Jr.,

YOU NEVER WERE A REPUBLICAN so STFU and crawl back into the cave you've been hiding in.

....i fear i will be the last republican president....that’s rich! Talk about a blowhard. No More Taxes, they’ll hear from us soon... He and his father should take a look in the mirror especially of late.
Globalists and besties with the clintons and obamas. just because we may not hear all their snarky comments, you can be sure they are being made at our President’s expense.
Screw you both, and your little jebbie too.

>>I’m worried that I will be the last Republican president

That is my greatest hope for America: that Trump will drive the Progressives of both parties together and then all real Americans can fight them. A GOP that is Progessive Lite is no party anyway. The Bushes are con men.

Here’s to hoping GW Bush will be the last Republican president arrested for drunk driving. Something to be really humble about, isn’t it George?

When asked about his drunk driving guilty plea, GW Bush responded, “I do not have a perfect record as a youth.” Bush was THIRTY YEARS OLD at the time of his arrest; like the rest of you, I hadn’t been a “youth” for nine years when I was 30.
