WASHINGTON Sen. Al Franken has some questions about Russia for Attorney General Jeff Sessions about eight pages worth.
Franken fired off a lengthy letter to Sessions on Thursday, asking him to give his own account of interactions between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives. It followed the guilty plea earlier this week by a former Trump foreign policy adviser on charges of lying to federal agents about his contact with Russians.
Russia and the Trump campaign have been a flash point between the former Senate colleagues since Sessions confirmation hearing, when he responded to a question from the Minnesota Democrat with a claim that he hadnt heard from any Russians during the campaign. Sessions later clarified that he had met several times with the Russian ambassador, in his role as a United States senator.
The two clashed again over the issue at an October Senate Judiciary hearing. Under questioning from Franken at that hearing, Sessions said he was not aware of any communications between Trump campaign surrogates and Russians, and that he did not believe any occurred.
I dont believe it happened, Sessions said.
Franken wrote that this weeks revelations about former Trump aide George Papadopoulos belied those statements. Court documents indicate Papadopolous was present at a meeting with Sessions and Trump in which he discussed arranging a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
You failed to tell the truth about your interactions with Russian operatives during the campaign, Franken wrote Sessions on Thursday. This is an alarming pattern in which you, the nations top law enforcement officer, apparently failed to tell the truth, under oath, about the Trump teams contacts with agents of Russia a hostile foreign power that interfered with the 2016 election.

Says the guy who stole a Senate seat and then used it to pass the Bullsh!t that was Obamacare.
FUAF
It’s interesting is that Fox news seems to be ignoring this.
From 2010:
“It looks increasingly likely that at least one member of the United States Senate may owe his seat in the worlds greatest deliberative body not to his charisma or the persuasiveness of his message but to voter fraud.
As the Wall Street Journal’s John Fund reports, Minnesota Democrat Al Frankens narrow, 312-vote victory in 2008 over incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman may have come as the result of people being allowed to vote who, under existing law, shouldnt have been.”
These frickin idiots just don’t know when to stop do they?
HANG THEM ALL.
Sessions should respond tersely and succinctly: F**k off you clown Senator.
Sessions should respond by forgetting his recusal (Which Al Frankenstein forced on him) and appointing a second special counsel to investigate Hillary, The Clinton Foundation, Uranium One and the DNC!
Not very smart, Franken. You rile Sessions and you will regret it. As a Sunday school teacher, he is trusted to tell the truth. As for Franken, there are words for him and they would not be said in Sunday school.
So Franken is claiming that discussing arranging a meeting is the same as actually arranging a meeting?
That Franken doesn’t like him should prove to all you doubters that Sessions is over the right targets!
Wait a minute. This is making me feel a lot better about Sessions.
Oh shut the h*ll up, Senator Dumb@ss Blutarski!
Everything you say is lies and delusional gibberish. Just shut up.
I would pay good money to see a video of some pissed off NHL thug kicking Franken’s ass....for about 20 minutes.
They’re ignoring it because they don’t want to split republicans off from the anti-Sessions movement.
Ye good point, there might be hope for Sessions after all. ....On the other hand, it could be Franken doing some Saber Rattling
I believe you are correct, sir. I have observed the behavior of Trump and Sessions compared with their enemies. Our guys act like they're holding aces, while their enemies look terrified.
More like -” Hey, I have an ides, let’s arrange meeting between the Russians and our campaign.... “
At which point Trumps, Sessions and everyone else in the room looked at this guy and thought “Who let this moron in the meeting?”
What’s really interesting is this scenario:
The idiot .... I mean, distinguished Senator from Minnesota might get Sessions to leave under his own inducement.
The part that makes all of this interesting is who President Trump would put in his place - i.e., perhaps someone with testicles. Even if it’s simply a recess appointment, like on Christmas day. This someone could then appoint a Special Prosecutor to look into Hillary and company.
So the Minnesota idiot would be responsible for destroying the rest of the Democratic Party.
Now that would be sweet justice.
This is just stupid.
FRANKEN: American public cannot trust your word.
Also FRANKEN: Now answer these questions.
