On Tuesday Islamist Sayfullo Saipov, a 29=year-old immigrant from Uzbekistan, murdered eight people in a truck attack in New York City.
Saipov entered the US under the “Diversity Visa program” in 2010. The immigration program was the brainchild of none other than Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Today President Trump called for an end of the Diversity Lottery Program.
President Trump also called for an end to chain migration. Sayfullo Saipov reportedly brought in 23 people with him since 2010!

All legals, immigrants, are allowed to bring in their immediate family. “Immediate family” includes quite a few relatives - a loose term.
If Trump cancelled the diversity lottery there is no need for him to “call for the end” of the program. Unless the meaning is that he is temporarily putting it on hold by EO and is asking Congress to permanently end it by legislation.
It should be ended with extreme prejudice.

This isn’t much different from the situation with the Tsarnov brothers. When there are large families allowed to come to the US there are going to be far too many immigrants who don’t assimilate. I think the average American is completely unaware (like me) of how many of these America-hating people have been welcomed by the government into the country. The truth about just how many have joined the country and NOT assimilated is scary - this needs to be exposed daily to wake people up. I had no idea about chain migration....what a nightmare!
