In the wake of the sexual harassment allegation against actor Kevin Spacey, Netflix has announced House of Cards will be ending after the shows sixth season.
The news comes after many fans called on Netflix to pull the plug on its original series following a report from Buzzfeed News in which actor Anthony Rapp alleged Spacey, then 26, made a sexual advance on him when he was 14 years old.
The decision to conclude "House of Cards" was made several months ago, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the decision.
However, a representitive for Netflix told Fox News earlier on Monday that the company is "deeply troubled by last nights news concerning Kevin Spacey. In response to last nights revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported. As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time.

season 3 ep.5 they kidnap the real Alex Leifson from Rush to get into the concert.
Bubbles winds up as his guitar tech on stage.
At the end, bubbles plays a guitar duet signing closer to the heart with Alex in character and you realize he headlines a real band and he’s really good.
Other than that, it’s just plain over the top stupid. Sometimes that works...
I can proudly can say I never watched HOC and wouldn’t watch him if I could no matter how many liberals tried to convince me that I should watch that show.
I looked at his list of movies/shows. Think I may have seen him in one or two since the 80s, most likely saw him in the the episode he was in the Equalizer. He always seemed like a crappy actor to me.
I’ve watched every episode and you would be surprised at the lack of a preachy left wing slant. I was.
I actually enjoyed it very much. Thought it was a great show, with compelling characters, nice plot twists and excellent performances by the cast.
Plus, it’s ham fisted cynicism appeals to me.
(American Beauty Semi-spoiler Alert)
Odd ending, considering recent revelations.
[Time to end HOC before it jumps the shark. Or has it already jumped?]
This coming season is expected to be the shark jumper....
Claire Underwood becomes the main character, and the one who talks to the audience in the same way Frank Underwood did....
The Usual Suspects is quite good...
The British version I think is a lot better.
It wasn’t too bad and I managed to watch two seasons. The end of season two was it for me when Frank and his wife had a threesome with his secret service agent. That was it and no more.
Comment 13 was about Trailer Park Boys.
I hijacked my own thread early on and now the conversation is all over the map.
To show where this is going -
Wife and I saw all the second season of Netflix “Stranger Things” over the weekend. This show has a half-dozen child actors. After that they had a series of panels with the actors, the writers, the cinematographers, etc., hosted by the extremely gay Jim Rash of “Community”.
The interactions between the kids, the adult actors, the director, producer, the writers, etc. left a sour taste in my mouth. These 13-14 year old kids, what was or had been done to them, what will be done to them, by that crew?
The British version is brilliant.
Pervert Spacey aside, it is a good series because it opens the uninformed voter’s eyes to the corruption for power and money in DC.
As a fan of British TV, I tried to watch it but couldn’t get past the first few minutes.
I think it was the constant extreeeeeeeme close ups on the main character that annoyed me.
It ended when Trump got elected instead of Hillary.
It jumped the shark today. They might as well have his character die and finish out the filming without him.
Yes, taking over the PM position in Parliament, is a lot different then taking over the Presidency.
When I heard the news about Kevin Spacey this morning, my first thought was, "Well... There goes House of Cards."
And then I remembered Roman Polanski raped a 13-year old girl and Hollywood gave him an Oscar.
