A federal grand jury in Washington has approved the first criminal charges in the special counsels investigation into Russian election interference, two sources told NBC News, marking a significant milestone in an inquiry that has roiled Donald Trumps presidency.
Mueller's Office of the Special Counsel will make public an indictment on Monday, a U.S. official with firsthand knowledge of the process confirmed to NBC News, without disclosing the name of the target or the nature of the charges. The timing was confirmed by a second source familiar with the matter.
Has anybody read any good articles explaining what the likely charges against Manafort would be and on what basis?
He had a carton of milk in his fridge with an expired use-by date.
What we really need is someone in the Justice Department, preferably high up.
Manafort sounding confident says through Roger Stone on the Jimmy Mathis show that when this process ends it won’t be he in jail but Mueller disbarred.
How convenient that he is doing this at the same time the investigation is starting to point at him. He just needs to resign and wait for his own consequences.
“sources”
Cernovich is saying Manafort over his condo financing.
James Rosen of Fox News says he’s asked Manafort’s lawyer and neither he nor Manafort have been notified of any indictment, which is usually done right away. Of course this all could be a test for leaks...
We’ll see if Flynn makes a similar statement.
CNN reporter last night at the very beginning of the breaking news that they know who it is but won’t make to public until the person and/or his lawyer is contacted which will be Sunday
He accidentally entered a bottle of ketchep on Trump Force One into his QuickBooks as "vegetable" instead of "condiment". Poor sap, will do 50 years in the Fed pen for campaign finance fraud.
The guy worked for the Podesta Group for a long time, so there's probably all sorts of stuff to get him on. The fact that he also worked on Trump's campaign will be sufficient for the MSM to throw all the blame toward Trump regardless of what he gets charged with.
I think it had something to do with removing mattress tags.
About his condo financing? LoL.
Hillary gets $145+ million in kickbacks through her money laundering company selling out US National Security to the Russians, and they get Manafort on some obscure financing or banking law.
“Mueller disbarred”
Disbarred? How about hanged? He’s involved in an overt conspiracy to overthrow a lawfully elected President of the United States. A coup. It’s called high treason.
Ahhhh, the media are salivating over this. Come Monday, it will be wall-to-wall coverage. Perfect time for President Trump to slip something by them while they are all staring intently in one direction (”Look! A squirrel!”) LOL.
He was probably being modest about what he really thought.
Manafort wasn’t the only one searched by the FBI in the past, only the most recent
Trump didnt care about locking her up. Nether did Sessions.
