New York Times movie critic Andy Webster made the new documentary Bill Nye: Science Guy a Critics Pick, and the online headline sold it hard: Bill Nye: Science Guy, a Portrait of a Fighter for Facts. A photo caption gushed: Bill Nye has a new mission: challenging climate-change deniers. With jail time, apparently, though the Times doesnt get into that:
In the film Bill Nye: Science Guy, Mr. Nye, the 1990s childrens-television personality with the signature bow tie, warns of an anti-science movement afoot in this country. And this delightful, revealing documentary, directed by David Alvarado and Jason Sussberg, offers evidence supporting that assessment.
Mr. Nye, who left his Emmy-winning series after around 100 episodes, has embraced a new mission: educating an older generation as he champions space exploration and challenges creationists and climate-change deniers.
What credentials? Nyes engineering degree? His past as a childrens-TV show host? His honorary degrees?
Webster's fan note didnt bother making a single nod toward balance:
The documentary...accompanies Mr. Nye to Greenland, where he witnesses melting ice caps and ice-core studies revealing climate temperatures of centuries past and our fossil-fuel-poisoned present.
Most inspiring, it finds him at a conference of adoring science teachers, who applaud him as a defender of all they hold dear.

These morons embrace the false premise that only human activity clauses climate change. Totally junk science.
Does Mr Bowtie-faggot realize that we have a constitution.
What a flaming duffus.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
He should have quite while he was ahead and stuck to space exploration. Space exploration is something one does; creationism and human-induced climate change are hypotheses, to be considered on the basis of evidence without politics.
The problem with politics today is that without a willingness to defer to a supreme being with supreme power, supreme power has to rest in a human institution, and the competition becomes who gets to sit in the seat of power in that human institution.
This is why Donald Trump as President turns liberals into raving fools. We see Trump as the presider over the government who is working, not to make America great again, but to return to Americans the personal freedom and responsibility for them to make America great again. Their model for a president, however, is The One Who Rules For The People, so that they view Trump as Hitler, The One Who Lies When He Says He Rules For The People (though he isn't a ruler, of course), who needs to be replaced, using any means necessary, by someone who is Really For The People, an American equivalent of Castro or Mugabe or Xi.
Remember, the issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution. Bill Nye is a useful idiot of the revolution; were the revolution ever to succeed, Nye, as a nerdy male of non-color, would be among the first to perish.
Anti-science, is that the lockstep libs who insist that your sex is whatever you choose to be this minute?
Anti-scienc, is that the bureaucrats who demand that gynecologists service men and proctologists service women?
And therein lies the problem, brainwashed pseudo-academics teaching our children.
Few doubt that the earth’s climate changes.
The disagreement is if HUMANS can change the earth’s climate.
While I will concede that in some micro-environments (big cities with large buildings, few trees, and paved roads) man has indeed changed the climate for that area.
However I think with a little observation it is clear once you get away from the big cities into the surrounding areas the climate is pretty much the way it should be without any human involvement.
Glaciers melt. That is not proof of man made global warming it is proof the earth has been warming for 10,000 years. And a good thing too, as I would be sitting below five miles of ice if the glaciers that once covered this area had not melted.
Bill Nye is either ignorant or nothing more then a shill for the left who want to use “man made global warming” to create a new socialist utopia.
Just go away little man, you have lost the battle.
See my tagline!

Bill bye, the bachelor’s in mechanical engineering guy?

Anti science movement? Like saying one with Y chromosome is a woman? Or life doesn’t begin at conception? Or gays are born that way? Who’s anti science?
an anti-science movement
Stock answer to malicious global warming pranksters ...
They: “Whatsamatter? Don’t you have a sense of humor?”
We: “That’s precisely the problem. We do.”
You never hear of threatening to jail someone for not believing String Theory. That’s because there’s not big government interests, control, and money behind it.
And that's a much bigger problem than most posters in this thread seem to understand. It's downright scary that fools like Nye and the brainwashed teachers even have access to our kids. That's the way totalitarianism begins.
