The Golden State Warriors, who are based in Oakland, Calif., used their home game on Wednesday night to host what they called LGBTQ Pride Night.
In a pregame news conference, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, Warriors coach Steve Kerr told parents how they could use the night to instruct their kids on what their view should be towards LGBTQwhich stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning.
Maybe if youre coming to the game tonight and your child says, Whats that? explain it to them, Kerr said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Explain to them the importance of loving the person next to you, no matter who they are and where they come from. Theyre human beings. Were all human beings. Were all in this together.
Im really encouraged by my kids experience in California growing up, just in terms of acceptance, Kerr said. It seems like our young generation is learning more about it. We all just are who we are. Were all individuals, and what makes our country great is our diversity. The fact that we can respect each other, work together and embrace each other, I think its an important night for us, and we welcome everybody in the LGBTQ community.
Im proud to be a part of an organization and a region, an area, that really embraces diversity, Kerr said. I dont think there has ever been a more important time in our country to respect the person next to you regardless of race, creed, color, sexual preference, sexual identity.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the president of the Warriors is gay: The Rick Welts, who became the first prominent American sports executive to come out openly as gay in 2011, has served as Golden States president for the past six years.
So on the one hand, crazy libs are doing group revenge on dirty old men, and on the other, they’re fully supportive of every perversion imaginable. LGBTQ is all the rage, but hetero perverts are wrong? The world has gone completely mad.
From the closet into the arena and they expect everyone to get on board. Up yours NBA.
Damned. Now I have to rip up my Steve Kerr cards. Pretty soon I won’t have any football or basketball cards left.
Anybody wanna buy my Michael Sam card? OK, let me rephrase that. Anybody want me to pay them to take my Michael Sam card?
The only football cards I’ll have left that are worth anything will be my 1957-58-59 Colts cards (Unitas, Berry, Moore, Big Daddy, Art Donovan) and those football players who became actors (Butkus -Hamburger: The Movie - he has one of the funniest lines ever said in a movie; Howie Long; OJ - never mind; Fred Dryer; etc.).
Well maybe my Michael Vick cards are will be worth something if I can prove that he actually sang on “Who Let The Dogs Out” record.
I want a Pat Tillman and Villaneuva card. They served. I salute them. An honor to have them in my collection.
As for the protesting overpaid, undereducated jerks, get a real job. I hear that McDonalds and Popeye’s Chicken are hiring.
There was a time when this would have been considered child abuse.
Now, the deranged mental illness of perversity is celebrated and required.
Im proud to be a part of an organization and a region, an area, that really embraces diversity, Kerr said.
But you are not and you do not! None of this is about diversity. Its about normalizing perversions. Your statement Steve left out millions of peoples. Was non-inclusive of millions of peoples. So how is it about being diverse?
Now we have a basketball coach lecturing parents on how to bring up their children. Maybe he ought to begin by lecturing his own players about sexual responsibility, absentee fathers, setting a good example for your own kids, and the meaning of the word, promiscuity, which most of his players probably have never heard before.
Maybe the BLM/NBA Warriors can take both knees and give a demonstration of the conduct they are celebrating and skip the National Anthem all together.
I would give my child a copy of the Koran and tell them everything they need to know about homosexuality can be found in it.
The Q has always stood for “questioning.” That way they can target those who are unsure and confused.
