A second woman has accused former President George H.W. Bush of groping her.
Jordan Grolnick, a New York actress, said that she has a similar story to the one Heather Lind shared about the former president fondling her during a photo op, according to Deadspin.
Bush apologized through a spokesman in a statement earlier Wednesday. The statement said that on occasion, he has patted womens rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner and routinely tells a joke.
To anyone he has offended, President Bush apologizes most sincerely, the statement said.
Lind wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post reported by The Daily Mail on Tuesday that Bush "assaulted me while posing for a... photo."
"When I got the chance to meet George H. W. Bush four years ago to promote a historical television show I was working on, he sexually assaulted me while I was posing for a similar photo. He didnt shake my hand. He touched me from behind from his wheelchair with his wife Barbara Bush by his side. He told me a dirty joke, Lind wrote.
I empathize with anyone who legitimately experiences assault.
Period.
However, separately, there are people who are eager to exploit Weinstein’s sins to entrench the All Men Are Guilty Of Everything Bad ideology of feminism.
But I do believe that people can be pushed into a bad mental place when reminded of terrible past memories. I don't want to use the word "triggered", but let's be honest. War veterans who have PTSD or are dealing with horrific experiences know what I am talking about. Even explosions on the 4th of July are not "fun" for many veterans.
In the same way, if you are a woman who was attacked or groped, the 24/7 news cycle would definitely have an adverse affect on you and what happened to you. It just would.
It was ludicrous when one actress used the term “sexual assault” after being groped by Bush. However, it is apparent that ol’ Georgie is too old and senile to go out in public anymore.
Despite everything, this is a gossipy very minor story. This Mark Halperin is now on suspension at MSNBC and that seems to be reported with much more attention. We saw whatever happened with Bill O’Reilly in the news. I am sorry for anyone who is legitimately wronged or aggrieved. This story is just kind of ho-hum. Not good for the dynasty.

The allegation was about a supposed incident 3 years ago which GHWB probably has no recollection of.
Yes, today is the day we get to see the documents that show that George H. W. Bush was on the grassy knoll and that Ted Cruz’s father was part of the conspiracy to kill JFK. At last.
You are right. At that point they should no longer go out in public.
Exactly. I don’t like the Bushes much but this is getting ridiculous. You slap his hand away, say knock it off, and walk away....not go running to a newsperson to tell them.
I will say this: A pat on the rear may get a pass from most women.
However, if he managed to put his hand or fingers into places where he damn well knows it doesn’t belong...and making the “Cop-a-Feel” joke should tell you that he knows...
It’s assault. And I don’t care if he’s a “Bush” or how old he is.
If he can’t control himself, then the Bush family needs to admit it and keep him out of the public eye. That way no one can accuse him of it and have it used against the rest of us by the media.
And another thing - nursing home workers are used to it because they’ve been exposed to it so much they are immune. The average person on the street would be very taken aback...shocked and distressed.
I find it interesting that, with former President Bush being in a wheel chair, his shoulder is level with the hips of everyone standing around him, including the actress. Thus a ‘hug’ will end up being around her hips and thus her ‘precious bottom’ may have been touched.
Yeah his making the joke told me all i needed to know. Can’t believe so many here, men and women, think it is okay to touch a strangers butt. Not ok!!! Just b/c he’s old .....
The guys here that cannot wait to get old enough to feel up strangers without consequences..... thats wrong in so many ways.
...I’m astonished the oldster can REMEMBER what he did....(I’m dealing with an aged parent and memory is a problem).
Yes, what you said...it’s like these women don’t have arms to use...
This suggests advanced senility to me.
I’m a guy and I don’t want anyone I don’t know and haven’t cleared to do so putting their fingers or hands anywhere near my junk.
It happened to me when I was younger and I can tell you that nothing feels more uncomfortable than to have some old lady grabbing things she shouldn’t be in an otherwise social situation. I was raised to be polite and it’s distressing to have it happening and be torn about what to do. In the moment I felt like anything I could have done would have made a scene so I just let it happen. Not okay.
Call me uptight - I don’t care. Keep your hands away from my junk.
“Most people dont believe a 93 year old man in a wheel chair is intentionally trying to grope women.”
Oh yeah, that is why he followed it up with a joke about coping a feel. Yeah, totally unintentional. /sarc
“Cant believe so many here, men and women, think it is okay to touch a strangers butt. Not ok!!! “
It is pretty sickening how many freepers defend this behavior. And even more sickening the ones that think defending it some how advances our cause. Vile human beings every one.
There’s a deep sickness in the Bush family. The president’s grandson George P. Bush stalked a teenage girl & broke into her home. He terrorized her family.
I'll bet most people DO believe that...I certainly do...
Nor am I...This guy has likely been doing this for decades, off camera...And because of his position, getting away with it...If that little feel took place in a factory or many other places, the fella would be out of a job...
