A new Gallup poll shows growing support for marijuana legalization, with 64 percent of Americans now in favor of the measure.
The number is the highest level of support in nearly half a century of surveying adults on the issue, according to Gallup. Support has steadily increased in recent years, with the latest figure up 4 percentage points over last year and up 14 points from 2011.
The poll also showed a majority of Republicans favoring legalization for the first time, with 51 percent expressing support. That number is up 9 percentage points from last year, according to Gallup.

You assume much. Last I checked, getting government out of people’s lives was a CONSERVATIVE idea. But I’ve also found over time that “conservatism” as actually practiced usually means embracing the nanny state so long as it does what “conservatives” prefer.
Personally I don’t care for MJ and would prefer not to be around it or those who use it. But I also realize that the same people who are raiding grow rooms this week will be perfectly happy to raid gun safes next week.
Politics is a racket.

Yup. The majority of the US population either lives within a state where MJ is legal or is within easy driving distance of a state where it is legal.
The genie left the bottle long ago.

And you're full of logical fallacies. Drugs are addictive and need to be controlled. True conservatives aren't stupid. We recognize the need for government for such things as upholding the law. And one of the laws they need to uphold is the law which prohibits addictive drugs.
Vending machine narcotics is the goal of these fools.

Oh, that will be just great for national defense and law enforcement. Looks like Mr. Xi might have a chance to own us after all.

Need to add some rather more effective chemicals to the ladder. Surveys show us that the benzos and opoids aren’t working nearly quickly enough. Write to the drug co. heads and doctors.

You morons have no venue. No viable party. So you come onto FR and spout your 60s nonsense and then get all panty bunched when we bitch slap you.

How’s that no O’Care repeal, DACA amnesty, $5T+ “buget” party you support going? You know, the ones flushing the last of Republic down the tubes while you “(C)” squabble over how much better tasting the (R)-shit-sandwich tastes vs. the (D)-shit-sandwich.
But, those damn (L) causing all that trouble...somehow. Whatever bogey-man you wanna promote, I’m sure it’s NEVER your fault.
