Meanwhile, Bob Corker is full of himself:
U.S. senator tells Trump to leave N.K. policy to 'professionals'
WASHINGTON, Oct. 24 (Yonhap) -- A ranking U.S. senator told President Donald Trump Tuesday to let the "professionals" conduct foreign policy on North Korea.
Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, took a swipe at the president as the feud between them escalated to new levels.

The “rocket guy” will be sorely tempted by a Trump visit to do something nasty and maybe something other than a rocket launch.

Wikipedia lists a total of 572 fighters in NK's air force. A typical US carrier air wing has 58 fighters, 3 carriers making that about 174. Assuming all aircraft are available on all sides.... That's just over 3 to 1 ratio favoring NK (by the numbers).
Me, I think if the brown smelly stuff hits the air circulating machine the Navy flyboys better hurry up and get their 3 kills in before the Air Force guys show up and take away some of the fun. NK's 35 Mig 29s might pose a threat on paper, but I doubt their pilots have enough flying hours and training to have developed tactics to use them effectively.

While the aircraft carriers are impressive, they will just act as the centerpiece for their group, and director for its antimissile defenses.
There is a huge area around a carrier within their impressively high powered detection equipment, not just radar, and any threats that enter that area are instantly targeted.
Typically they are designed that, with their group, they can create a very “layered” defense, that is extremely hard to penetrate.
And they are likely supported underwater by some incredibly deadly submarines. In this case motivated that there should never be another Cheonan incident from a NorK sub.

Oh Noes...an Armada.
April 12, 2017
President Donald Trump remained secretive about his plans to handle North Korea but admitted he was sending military forces its way.
We are sending an armada. Very powerful, Trump said during an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo. We have submarines. Very powerful. Far more powerful than the aircraft carrier. That, I can tell you.
Trump said he would not tell the media how he was planning to respond to the ongoing bellicose rhetoric coming from North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
You never know, do you? You never know, he said, stating that he would not be like former President Barack Obama, who would announce his attack plans in the Middle East in advance.
