Trumpers, who are most critical of Muellers investigation, normally (correctly, Id say) see Trump as brilliant, playing 3D chess... Fast forward to the investigation. Mueller hires, supposedly, a bunch of biased lawyers (some of whom, it turns out, specialize in financial transactionswhich was never, ever mentioned in the original charges against Trump). So in addition to the fact that Trump was told on multiple occasions he was not a target, it also appears that the types of lawyers Mueller hired were looking at something entirely different than Russian collusion. it had to look like Sessions was incompetent. Trump provided Cheese in the maze early with Tweets about Why Sessions wasnt doing anything and the like Sessions had a presser for another sting and was smiling as if he knew exactly what was going on. I suspect we have about three more months, taking us into 2018 election season, before Mueller begins to drop indictments ... Democrats are in huge trouble already with the electorate. This would likely bury them deader than the Know-Nothings.

As I always say,
I COULD BE WRONG.
But it would mean Trump isn’t nearly as smart or experienced as I thought.
Some were snookered by Bush 43 (hence my screen name), always waiting for him to lower a boom that never came. Wouldn't even defend actions that were so patently clear to us.
So forgive us if we don't jump on this theory and pin our hopes on it.
Especially after this prognosticator assured us that Priebus and Bannon would not be leaving the WH.
Great post, its a keeper!
This is a very good analysis. It outlines what you have been pointing toward for sometime in a full manner.
If it unfolds just like this, we are going to have to always address you as “The Brilliant” as in The Brilliant LS.
Don’t do that.
I usually start every column with
“I COULD BE WRONG.”
And so it is with this. But we’ll see soon enough.
Bumping this thread again in light of the breaking news about the Congressional investigation.
Is Petrikov the informant?
Combover gonna have to flip no. He’ll have no choice.
I would not be surprised if four months from now in the later part of February we are still waiting for the shoe to drop. The history of these Special Prosecutors has always seen them in an expanding and long drug out role. I think part of it is they want to leave a perfect legacy. This is despite that the history is, that their longevity and over-reach, become the chief blemish on their performance.
Correct. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it was summer, just as the 2018 campaign heats up.
I don’t know, and I’m not sure I even know enough to wildly speculate about it. What do you know about Petrikov?
Nothing.
Could a Grand Jury already be empanelled? The reason I ask is that yesterday I heard somewhere, some talking head suggest this. Then again this morning Chris Farrell was on the local radio and the host asked why hasn’t a grand jury been empanelled? Farrell answered “Maybe one already has and we wouldn’t know about it.”
Could this be why the DOJ hasn’t turned over documents to the various committees - he is using them in his investigation? And could this be the reason Sessions has been so “quite” on the Clintons & all the other investigations we have been clamoring about?
Just wondering if you have any knowledge about this.
I am almost certain a GJ is impaneled, that it has already had DEM witnesses called. In fact, I saw a news report that a D from the Podesta group was already called-—now, could be fake news.
And, yes, Sessions doesn’t broadcast his investigations, despite what some people want. That’s not how you prosecute. It weakens your case. And you drop the hammer, on everyone, all at once.
