I think they polled the snowflakes in Yale’s “Super-Safe-Space”.
Carbon Tax? Gun Control? This a-hole is all over the place.
More fake news.
Slap a tariff on Chinese made goods to make them pay for their carbon pollution.
Who spends $100 a month on energy bills? More like 200-300 and up. Where do these children get their information?
Paging Joseph Goebbels.
What Americans want that?
In other news, a recent UK study found that 86.5% of British men’s gonads are the size of grape seeds. The other 13.5%, immigrant males, have normal-sized or larger gonads.
Since when does “willing to pay” mean “want”. Typical socialist double-speak.
This American wants a tax on poll pollution.
Do they mean the three Americans they asked in the Guardian loo on the top floor?
They cannot mean AMERICANS in total. Seriously. What nimrod would even make a blanket statement like that?
Could it be someone who still (silly person) thinks the media runs the agendas of the USA?
Here in Massachusetts there has been a line on the state income tax return form...the state's equivalent of the 1040 long form....that would be funny if it wasn't so transparent and disgusting.
That line gives taxpayers the opportunity to pay at a tax rate that's higher than is required by law. IOW it gives taxpayers the opportunity to "donate" money to the state treasury...money that they're not required by law to pay.
Howie Carr,a great Boston radio talk host occasionally reports the percentage of filers who opt for this higher rate.Last time I heard him mention it the number who did was somewhere in the hundreds...that in a state of 6 million that went 65%-30% for ILLary.
Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.
Yeah they will cut the cord to save money on entertainment but will spend $20 a month on a problem they can't see. Uh huh.
Well, it seems the college would just pass the cost along.
I’m not sure how you stop that if the leadership of the college approves of it.
I think you misunderstood the results of the poll Guardian. Americans want a carbon tax on the rest of the world with the receipts coming here.
We do? We support an additional tax on something that ISN’T a pollutant?
There is no “carbon pollution”, just more plant food. Anything that discusses “carbon pollution” goes in my garbage pile.
No we don’t want a tax...FU
If people were capable of critical, analytical thought, they’d see:
1. There is zero need for a tax. If all liberals led by example, the (non-existant) problem would end. All they have to do is cancel their electricity and natural gas service, sell the car, and never fly on an airplane again. The rest of us normal people could then get on with our lives. The side benefit is all the progs could feel so smug and superior knowing they “are doing something.” They would have a deep well to draw upon for their virtue-signaling.
2. $20 per month on every person’s energy bill would do nothing. It isn’t enough to build (questionable) carbon sequestration plants, build enough windmills and solar plants to replace fossil fuels, or convert the economy to hydrogen. I doubt that amount even equals 10% of the sum paid today for all subsidies and grants to “green energy” companies, climate “researchers,” and tax breaks paid to people who install the hallowed, magical solar cells.
3. $20 per month will not change anybody’s behavior one iota. People will still use as much energy as before.
4. The government would piss away all that money on other things. Not one red cent would go to “fighting global warming.”
5. It’s is all a hoax, sham, and lie designed to rob us of freedom and enslave us by elite know-it-alls.
