President Trump called on the Department of Justice and FBI to reveal who paid opposition research firm Fusion GPS to produce the infamous anti-Trump dossier of research compiled last year by former British spy Christopher Steele.
“Officials behind the now discredited ‘Dossier’ plead the Fifth,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “Justice Department and/or FBI should immediately release who paid for it.”

Trump was referring to Fusion co-founders’ Peter Fritsch and Thomas Catan pleading the Fifth during interviews with the House Intelligence Committee earlier this week.
The committee has recently ramped up its efforts to investigate the dossier. In addition to the subpoena for Fusion’s co-founders, the panel earlier this month subpoenaed Fusion’s bank, TD Bank, for records that would disclose the identities of its clients.

President Trump usually tosses a few left jabs to draw the leftard's attention and ire, and then he clocks them with a right hook.
Why did Comey submit it as an attachment instead of on its own merit? Ahhhhhhh....because no one knew its validity. In other words, he was sneaky....just like releasing info through a friend.

McCain is in this up to his eyeballs, whether he paid for it or not. We’ve heard that he specifically dispatched one of his staff on a transatlantic flight to pick up the dossier and hand carry it back.
But—I’m not sure what the benefit to us is. There will be no punishment of sick, dying “war hero” McCain. He can just go Democrat and suck up praise and attention for “joining the Resistance.”

1) Twitter consistently - make that constantly - underreports the likes and retweets for Trump tweets. Whatever you think of Twitter as a platform they are meticulous in updating stats for tweets from the likes of Lena Dunham. Similarly, they do nothing to filter out the obvious and pervasive bot activity that pumps NYT rubbish into top ten trends.
2) This is not a criticism of Trump but an exhortation. Like Superboy, he does not yet understand the number and scope of his powers - in large part because the Deep State won’t tell him or help him. I respect the fact that he respects official channels and due process but observing Marquess of Queensbury rules in DC will only get you kicked in the goolies.
He needs to start twisting each and every arm he sees, including Sessions and those ostensibly on his side.
Because, again, you act like you don’t understand the LEGAL/ETHICAL separation of DOJ from the exec.
Bannon perfectly got this. Although DOJ ORGANIZATIONALLY ansses to the Prez, operationally, ethically it is independent. This is what the Founders wanted —where an independent DOJ would even go after a crooked Prez-—as Njxon’s, Clinton’s and Obama’s would NOT do.
You cannot have a truly ethical DOJ and have it be the police arm of one man. It us the nation’s police.
As such, Sessions must build cases he can win, whatever that requires.
It’s got to be McCain. He was th one that thm took the dossier to the FBI and that is documented.
It would be halarious if it turned out that Karl Rove’s RINO consultant group commissioned it. I’d like to see Karl do a little whiteboard explanation of THAT expense.

How did McCain know where to send for it?
And how exactly did McCain come into possession of the dossier? This needs to be explained to the American people.

He is in the habit of “giving them a chance to do the right thing” and upping the pressure over a period of time so they can disgrace themselves or show they are trying to get out of the swamp. I imagine there are pressures being brought to bear that are under the RADAR for the time being.
Unfortunately there are still MANY, MANY swamp dwellers that need to be “outed”.
He was part of the conspiracy. Whether he paid for it himself is of less importance than the fact that he was part of the effort to generate and obtain it. I’d say, the more people involved, the bigger and more interesting the conspiracy.
You plead the fifth to avoid testifying against yourself about your crimes.
