HOUSTON (KABC) -- The Dodgers will face the Astros in this year's World Series, after Houston took down the New York Yankees in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.
The Astros' 4-0 victory Saturday sets up a World Series between one team, Los Angeles, looking to take its seventh championship title and another still yearning for its first.
The Astros have only played in one World Series previously, losing to the Chicago White Sox in 2005. For that matter, no team from Texas has ever won baseball's ultimate prize.
"This city man, they deserve this," said Houston pitcher Lance McCullers, Jr. shortly after the last inning. "This is awesome."
The Dodgers are looking forward to the matchup.

The Astros are in the American League? Damn, I guess I musta overslept...
I went to one in Detroit. My friend's wife and her two sisters camped out all night at Tiger stadium just to be able to get the tickets when they went on sale at the ticket office.
We ended up in the right field upper deck and I ended up seated next to my plant's purchasing manager who got his tickets for free from a vendor.......LOL!
Blue = Wants Dodgers To Win
As a member of the old nl central, the astros have my support. Had it been LA vs NY, I would have supported the Dodgers. Where I grew up, the Yanks were always enemies.
I was thinking that it will give some of the football protestors something else to watch and so the ratings may be higher than they might otherwise be.
Go Houston.
Exactly right. LAD with five days down time by WS Game 1.
Lol. Yep it will be a loss leader
Damn! If its not the Yankees vs, the Dodgers its not.
So the Rangers still think letting go of Nolan Ryan was a good idea?
You could probably put a blue dot in the DFW area.
