ATLANTA (AP) The slaying of five dozen people in Las Vegas did little to change Americans opinions about gun laws.
The nation is closely divided on whether restricting firearms would reduce such mass shootings or homicides, though a majority favor tighter laws as they have for several years, according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
The massive divide on stricter limits remains firmly in place.

[AP-NORC poll] == [bomb damage assessment]
We don’t blame the hammer or the saw for poor home construction either, Associated Press.
Why trust a damned thing the AP is reporting on the subject of firearms?
There was a shooting in Vegas?
The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
Massive BS by the massively uninformed.
Whenever anyone starts talking about a mental requirement for gun ownership, even I get nervous. (I support the 2nd amendment, but have no desire to own a gun). Imagine the gov being able to decide who's too crazy to get a gun!
damn. i was hoping it would move Americans AGAINST gun control in a bigger way.
Given that the shooter clearly planned this and is demonstrably left wing, the theory that he did it to hurt conservatives, hurt Trump and fuel liberal demands that guns be seized is looking more and more logical.
