When it comes to rising sea levels flooding parts of the country in the future, you might think of places like Miami and New Orleans — but Seattle could be susceptible, too, albeit on a much smaller scale.
A new Zillow analysis using government climate change forecasts found that about 5,000 homes in the Seattle metro area are in danger of being underwater due to rising seas by 2100.
The homes would flood if local sea levels rise at least six feet due to the warming climate. That’s roughly the midway point from a government climate science forecast that said the nation’s seas were “very likely” to rise up to four feet, while an eight-foot rise “can’t be excluded.”
Statewide, about 27,300 homes could be flooded, including 7,300 in Grays Harbor County, or 21 percent of homes there. About 4,100 homes are threatened in Whatcom County (nearly 5 percent of homes there) and 3,000 in Island County (8 percent of homes).
One caveat: The government science report predicts that sea levels may rise more slowly across the Pacific Northwest than in other parts of the country, and that’s not accounted for in Zillow’s analysis.

Unfortunately, Seattle may have to endure an earthquake or Mt. Rainier volcanic eruption before sea levels rise six feet due to "global warming." One or both of the two events is much more likely to occur by 2100 than a sea level rise of six feet.
And they say that as if it’s a bad thing! It would be just the Good Lord flushing out the flotsam.

Very true - if sea levels were actually rising instead of falling according to a recent NOAA report ...
An extrapolation from an extrapolation. That’s bound to be accurate.
No one will be here then that read this warning today. But this is the way it will pan out.
1. If we do something, and nothing happens, claim success.
2. If we do nothing and those houses flood there will conniption fits, much like we see today anyway.
3. If we something and the houses don’t flood, they will claim victory.
4. If we do nothing and nothing happens they will claim there is still much to learn.

This is great news. This means that the next ice age will be delayed. Therefore all the houses in Seattle won’t be under a mile of ice for a few more years at least.
And of course, all due to global warming.

Now there’s a pair of trustworthy entities for you...Zillow and govt climate change forecasts.
Zillow couldn’t find a correct property value if it enslaved every appraiser in America.
And, govt climate change forecasts? That’s all that needs to be said about THOSE values.
As they have passed the median interval for a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake (9.2 R) with complementary tsunami, perhaps their focus is misplaced.
Could someone please update what is affected by Globull Warming, or would it be easier to list what is not caused by it?
