When Donald Trump faced criticism from advocacy groups for not including more women and minorities in his cabinet last January, the incoming administration promised that the lower rungs of the bureaucracy would ultimately look more diverse.
Now, recently available government data on the ethnic and gender make-up of the broader Trump administration shows that with over 1,000 mid-level political jobs filled by mid-year the appointees look much like the top leadership: mostly white and male.
Office of Personnel Management numbers analyzed by Reuters show that 88 percent of such appointees were non-Hispanic white and 62 percent were men.
“This administration so far has not in any direct sense prioritized diversity,” said Max Stier, president of the Partnership for Public Service, a non-partisan group that tracks federal hiring, when presented with Reuters’ findings.
Out of the Trump administration’s 24 top cabinet-level positions, 17 are filled by white men.

Maybe he’s judging people by the content of their character rather than by the color of their skin.
Before flailing their arms, have they done a full statistical analysis? What percentage of applicants were minorities? Of the minorities that applied what was their hiring rate? What was their hiring rate compared to whites?
YES!! Everyday the WH should announce what gender each of the cabinet members is that day. I would love to see the reaction of the MSM, the Dem Party Red Guard, and the rest of the lefties. Maybe something like, "Uh, uh, uh, ..."
Why not just select based on who’s most qualified for the job? Regardless or race, color, etc.? Oh wait!! You telling me we gotta hire a few dummies, to make the dummies “feel better”?? Roll on, Trump. Ya got em blowin’ holes in their panty hose.
But...but..he can’t do that! He must pay homage at the altar of white guilt and hire no white males at all. That’s the liberal formula for fighting prejudice—with more prejudice.
Look at what happens to those blacks that show public support for PDJT. They complain there are not enough blacks around The President and at the same time destroy those blacks that even dare to talk to PDJT.
