NEW YORK (AP) — Sexual harassment and mistreatment of models have always been widely known and tolerated in the fashion industry, Christy Turlington Burns said.
“The industry is surrounded by predators who thrive on the constant rejection and loneliness so many of us have experienced at some point in our careers. I feel fortunate that I did not personally experience anything traumatic, but also know that is not the norm,” she told Women’s Wear Daily in an interview published Wednesday.

One might get the impression that word has gone out to flood the media with these stories in order to soften public reaction for when the real news finally hits. These are all fluff, no names, just stories. Might or might not be true. Somebody powerful is going down soon and they know it, imho.
If I am surrounded by predators, and I stay in the murky waters for decades, at some point I’m less victim, more moron.
If it’s such a horrid situation, dear, then LEAVE the industry! This is not abuse and threats by a family member, this is an optional job. Move on, go home...do something else!
