Shot: Louisiana State University builds $85 million recreation complex including a giant lazy river concrete swimming pool meets aqua maze.
Chaser: The best of times, the worst of times: Inside LSUs Middleton Library and the Cox Center. Extensive photos illustrate how the library is crumbling with extensive flooding damage while the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes is gleaming, spotless, and modern.
this is the reason that organized school sports should be destroyed. Have the parents handle the details of the various games.
Parents will quickly tire of it and the country will be far better off without tens of thousands of brain dead jocks running around.

Afraid you and I are small minority here on FR. LOL
I think that we are the wave of the future. I am having a lot more time for long bicycle rides and other things. While I like College Football better than the post-Varsity, I mainly pay attention when it is Army-Navy! GO ARMY!
How is LSU paying with that toy??
Gum that is older than the students?! Hello...has anyone heard of a janitor doing work while getting paid.?! And if I recall, isn’t every thing on the internet now-a-days?! Sorry, I do not share the horror. In that humidity there is a constant need for new plaster. The library should get a touch up job every summer and if the gum is not cleaned up on a regular basis then the janitors should be sent to the State Senate to explain to the politicians about how difficult it is to do the work of a 3rd grader.
Might be that the Tiger habitat and the Cox center were funded without using university money. Perhaps someone can chime in.
Pretty sure they were given that the buildings have a family name on them.
