Joe Scarborough has predicted that Nancy Pelosi is “most likely going to be the next Speaker of the House.” Speaking on today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough’s theory was that the Republican leadership will try to push through a tax reform bill without letting rank-and-file House members participate in the process, and that as a result it will fail, as did the effort to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Could Joe’s prediction come true? Sure. It would require House Dems in the 2018 mid-term elections to increase their numbers by about 24 seats. According to Politifact, “in midterms since 1862, the president’s party has averaged losses of about 32 seats in the House.”
So feasible? Yes. But ironically, the best thing the Republicans will have going for them in stopping Nancy Pelosi from becoming Speaker . . . is Nancy Pelosi herself.

I hope it will be possible for people to open this Grabien clip. It has video of a reporter saying that a North Korean official told him that he and other officials watch Morning Joe.
That could be fodder for some good jokes, such as: “yeah, that’s where Kim Jong Un gets his best anti-Trump lines,” etc.
But I’m posting it here to make the point that, love Morning Joe or hate it, it is widely viewed among opinion makers and leaders, and thus worth following.

Just when I was enjoying not hearing about these two. My life flows on well without hearing about them daily.

The part I take issue with is this:

They absolutely are an evil pair of scumbags.
That stood out for me too.
Trump has his own way when it comes to calling people out. Separating out behavior from the possibly redeemable person is a fair way to start in on matters.
It's not ironic at all, it's typical of these Dems.
It sure is, but actually I think it has been his biggest mistake so far.
