This nonsense has gone too far. Now it’s discriminatory to expect students to speak the local language. If the student who walked out knows English s/he should speak it in that class. We don’t need to turn this country into Babel.
They are upset about being told to speak American in an American classroom. This is BullSpit. F their culture, F their language, F their Mehican privilege. You walk out of class = suspension. Bring a Mehican flag to school = suspension. You stage a protest = suspension.
It's like the leftists who claim requiring ID to vote is racist, because Blacks are incapable of getting legal photo ID. They're just not capable, because they're Black. When you throw that in the leftists' faces, they get all in a huff. But that's what they're implying when they call voter ID laws "racist."

I actually am warming to “speak American.” It is quite different from “English” as they speak it.
So why were they speaking Spanish then? DISRESPECT.

Isn’t speaking English one of the requirements of citizenship? It should be required in a public school classroom as well.

As much as I appreciate the sentiment of “Speak
American” this teacher is wrong. Our troops fight to defend our Constitution i.e. our freedom. But then many people believe they are there to keep us safe or keeps us prosperous so why not add English?
