U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor told college students in New York City that she sometimes feels great turmoil inside when she is hearing arguments on the bench, but works hard to keep her emotions and personal biases in check. [
]
You cant do human activity and judging is a human activity without having human emotions, she told the crowd at the LeFrak Concert Hall. The sense of how you deal with it is to acknowledge it. I look at it, examine it, try to figure out the effect its having, and then try to adjust my behavior in accordance.
When addressing a question about minority women in leadership roles, Sotomayor said societal gender separation starts from a very young age whether we recognize it or not. Women are taught to have softer voices or to not be as engaged in the classroom, she said.

As a liberal, Her beliefs are based on emotions. Every waking moment. She “confuses” emotions with application of the law to the facts. It’s easy for her to apply emotions of the moment to facts of the case. She would be perfect in the 9th Circuit, but needs to be kept in check at SCOTUS.

"... acknowledge it. I look at it, examine it, try to figure out the effect its having, and then try to adjust my behavior in accordance. STUPID. Interpreting a document, especially the Constitution requires only intellect - she unknowingly revealed that she must try to do her job by adjusting her behaviour! I believe she has disqualified herself by these ridiculous statements, but she has ethnic/female double reinforced Kevlar...

Affirmative action hire. Useless in any position in which you have to be indifferent.

This is what we get when a light-weight judge gets elevated far above his or her level of competence.

You wouldn’t have all that “turmoil” if you would actually appreciate the US Constitution for what is is.

I can still see her and Al Franken laughing while exchanging Perry Mason episode stories during her confirmation hearings. What lightweights both of them.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor told college students in New York City that she sometimes feels great turmoil inside when she is hearing arguments on the bench, but works hard to keep her emotions and personal biases in check...it is interesting that the Newsmax news update before the Howie Carr show this afternoon included a bit about expectations rising that Trump will get to pick several more Supreme Court justices within the next few years because of anticipated retirements - named specifically were Kennedy, Ginsberg, and Sotomayor - Sotomayor because of "health concerns" - is the stress of keeping her bigotry under control getting to her?.....

Blahblah blah.

So basically to preserve the facade of decorum, she has to bite her lip to keep from going off on some race or class based commie tirade, but secretly she wallows in it. That’s what she’s saying.

How about setting those emotions aside and concentrating on applying the constitution the way the drafters intended for it to be applied? We have too many black robed tyrants applying their emotions and agendas in making their decisions. Liberal judges have contributed significantly to the decline of our society.
