Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said Sunday that former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon's rhetoric about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is not helpful.
This is not helpful or appropriate at all. Obviously Mr. Bannon has the right to support whomever he wants to support, Collins told ABCs This Week.
But I think his rhetoric is exactly what the American people are tired of. They dont want this hyperpartisanship. They want us to work together and they want us to get things done.
Bannon has vowed to challenge the Republican establishment in the 2018 midterms and put up primary challengers against GOP senators.
Collins slammed Bannons over the top rhetoric about McConnell as not helpful.

No kidding! Talk about tone-deaf.
Politicians like Susan Collins are what the American people are done with. I DO NOT want to work with liberals on ANYTHING. Everything a liberal touches turns to sh*t. I’m done eating their crap sandwiches while they tell me it’s roast beef.
Susan Collins should be doubly glad that Bannon did not turn his full wrath upon her and Lisa Murkowski, for their defections in the Obamacare rejection vote. I guess Bannon is of the “don’t hit the girl” school of thinking.
As much as anything, those two ladies have greatly helped in directing blame at McConnell for his defective leadership, by not getting in line. The Democrats would never have defected on such a vote, but that is because they regard the party a much more sacred trust than either constituents or the overall good of America.
She can’t help it. She’s the horse-faced whisperer.
Says that great GOP Woman of the People.
(I personally want this Senator to take up cyanide-tasting as a hobby.)
the GOP-e knew Obama was grossly ineligible (they even discussed trying to amend the constitution or pass a ‘resolution’ to somehow make him eligible)
yet, they did NOTHING to prevent him from taking office, they did NOTHING to stop him while in office, and they did NOTHING to remove him from our White House
and now what? McConell and McShame and his bff Lindsay and Collions and a couple more GOP-e......are blocking everything we voted for
the GOP-e are a big part of our WashingtonDC problem...
a very big part.................we must find ways of retiring at least the half-dozen or so worst offenders., ASAP
Well, what would you call the obstructionist stunts by you, the cow from AK, and the cadaver from AZ in blocking Obamacares demise ? That certainly was not helpful.
The GOP has not been “helpful” in passing Trumps agenda.
And Collins is one of the frauds.
FK the GOP.
“....and they did NOTHING to remove him from our White House...”............???
************
And now out of office and behind the curtain...time to really wake up and power flush—flush twice (floater)...unfinished biz..then!...MAGA, Drain Swamp, etc, etc.... did I say flush twice!

Thank goodness I do not give a fuck about what do-nothing Collins thinks is or is not helpful.
“They want us to work together and they want us to get things done.
No suzie Q, they don’t want to compromise, you big “C”!! They want revenge for all the crap you rammed down our throats for the past 30 years, you big “C”!! Time for Collins to GO!!
@Susan Collins: You do not speak for the Forgotten Man.
The Republic formed by the Founders included a place for the STATES to have their voice, it was called the SENATE.
When the voice of the STATES was taken away via the 17th Amendment, the Republic and Federalism was DESTROYED.
The US Senate is a PREPOSTEROUS ABOMINATION, 100 insane petty tyrants conspiring to steal everything not nailed down and stay in power until their dying day.
The Republic died in 1865, the 17th Amendment ensured the States would NEVER bring it back.
What the establishment is saying is shhhh! You are calling attention to us Republicans who are walking cluster:@&s and you are mean. Hey Susie stop being walking cluster;&@$s see if that helps.
Actually Collins, what is not helpful is your continued obstruction of the President’s agenda, a president from your own (stated) party no less.
“they want us to get things done.”
That’s the problem, Susan. The “things” you “get done” are a punch in our gut.
The “things” we really want to “get done” are bills to undo what you’ve already done.
And where is that, Senator? This "rhetoric" wouldn't have any traction had you done that.
My point entirely.
Force us to buy super expensive crappy insurance that is difficult to use. Glad Trump canceled the payments and is trying to help small businesses.
This could turn quite bad as businesses have expanded anticipating
Save deregulation by exectutvie order - these things haven't happened due to the uniparty. In mean time people who could get healthcare were it affordable suffer. Its amazing how callous and tone deaf these politicians are today.
The RINOs are governing against the will of the people.
Sure this is going help endear the president to the people but if the economy craters because businesses are over extended due no tax cuts and no ACA relief - how is that going to help him at the mid terms.
It could be a blood bath - and it looks very intentional.
