Yes, end the tax breaks NOW.
What a ridiculous thing to fund the National Felons League anyways.

[Not One Dime of tax money should be spent to benefit the NFL.]
Agreed.
Die, NFL. Die
Die, NBA, Die.
Enough of their leftist politics.

All they have to do is make corporate tickets non-deductible and to over for the NFL. Might help to offset some of the tax cuts too, win win

OK — but I don’t know what any of that has to do with U.S. tax policy.

I suspect most of these cities are filled with a disproportionate number of people who aren’t taxpayers anyway, so it’s hard to keep a straight face when discussing the city’s spending priorities anyway.

Just make football illegal on medical concerns for all of the injuries and concussions. Start with high schools and colleges. NFL would collapse shortly thereafter.
We have to protect our "yutes".

The last thing you ever want is to have Congress making tax policy for certain expenses based on political considerations of the business in question. If Congress ever passed a law that made entertainment expenses tax deductible for one sports league but not another one, then they ought to disband Congress entirely.

They have already made 50% f meals non-deductible. Business just moved ticket purchase from entertainment to advertising and promotion.

The irony is that the NFL is the one professional league composed almost solely of US citizens. Baseball has Latino and Asian players, Basketball has European players, and Hockey has Canadian and European players.

The 50% rule is fine. But it would be preposterous to have Congress pass a law that says this percentage varies from one business to another ... 50% for this restaurant, 100% for that restaurant because it’s owners are politically connected, 0% for that restaurant because they show NFL games to the customers, etc.

The Asian players are the best example simply because of their cultural norms. A Japanese ball player in the U.S. would set himself on fire in the outfield before he would even dream of kneeling for the national anthem.

The salaries would not be as high without subsidies. They are nuts to complain. Almost like complaining they won lottery cash. Hope these players realize some small part of this soon.

The NFL can pay for their own damn stadiums...
how dare they expect working people to support corrupt multimillionaires? And while they're at it they can pay for everything else they scam us for...

My boycott is meaningless because I never spent anything on them (and very little for their advertisers as part of general belt-tightening);
Every one who refuses to view the games and support the advertisers is very important--extra points for talking one NFL fan out of going to the game and or watching the game.
We can win this--one person at a time.
