Does the blue rule let a senator stop an appointment if the appointee is from his/her state? That’s what I thought.

The United States federal courts are broken into districts. They do not necessarily serve a single state. So do judges HAVE to come from a particular state?

Cannot the president appoint a judge from Iowa to sit in a court based in Minneapolis? I believe he can, and this was my point. Therefore, Al Franken and Amy Klobacher won’t a say.

Or even if not so, and the judge must be appointed to serve in Minnesota and must COME from Minnesota, then all Al or Amy has to do is blue rule any Trump-appointed judge.

Remind me again how letting Al Franken “Blue Rule” a judge would provide a “real” judge to California or Minnesota?

but the spirit of consultation has always remained."

You misspelled corruption. Probably just an auto correct error.

If the Republicans can’t even be counted on to fill the judiciary with conservative judges then really what is the point of blindly voting for these aholes? I have heard the argument for years, Republican candidate XYZ has to be voted for because of judicial appointments. Really, other than Gorsuch, what has that got us when you have our own Republican senators who continue to screw us over following Democrat policy that ensures they win every time. This is insanity.
