Newt is content for one win a generation whereas the Democrats expect results every year. Newt wants to continue to work within the corrupt Republican party and that has been the conservative battle plan for 30 yrs. and it has failed. And politicians like Newt continue to encourage the same failure in the name of the big tent because it keeps his kind in power and the conservatives in the back of the bus, if allowed on the bus at all.
The only option is to primary the Republican party out of existence into a conservative party. Corkhole was second scalp in this fight. Next up Weicker of Mississippi, and you can bet that motorcycle gang of Barbours will be in action pretending to they are sainted defenders of all that is right with conservatism.
Bannon is trying a new tactic, make them defend on all fronts. If this works in the senate we up the ante in 20 and start in the House races as well.
