When Gwyneth Paltrow was 22 years old, she got a role that would take her from actress to star: The film producer Harvey Weinstein hired her for the lead in the Jane Austen adaptation “Emma.” Before shooting began, he summoned her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting that began uneventfully.
It ended with Mr. Weinstein placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages, she said.
“I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she said in an interview, publicly disclosing that she was sexually harassed by the man who ignited her career and later helped her win an Academy Award.
She refused his advances, she said, and confided in Brad Pitt, her boyfriend at the time. Mr. Pitt confronted Mr. Weinstein, and soon after, the producer warned her not to tell anyone else about his come-on. “I thought he was going to fire me,” she said.

I worked for a big company (which was swallowed-up by an even bigger global company). We had a very cute young sales rep in our office, a blonde girl, about 25 years old. She got selected to go to this big corporate team building event at a resort in San Diego that top producers who had been there for 20 years never got invited to.
The boss (who was a woman) told her before she left “don’t sleep with anybody, unless you really think it will help you get ahead in this company.” She was serious.

I’m waiting for someone prominent to have the “guts” to say “let’s get a list of all the women who willingly serviced Harvey and other power figures to further their Hollywood careers!” Also, a list of all the agents, managers, “mentors” etc. who willingly sent young starlets down this path....
That is NOT to diminish his grotesque behavior, but I will bet there were plenty of willing (more or less) accomplices, too.
