When Gwyneth Paltrow was 22 years old, she got a role that would take her from actress to star: The film producer Harvey Weinstein hired her for the lead in the Jane Austen adaptation “Emma.” Before shooting began, he summoned her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting that began uneventfully.
It ended with Mr. Weinstein placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages, she said.
“I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she said in an interview, publicly disclosing that she was sexually harassed by the man who ignited her career and later helped her win an Academy Award.
She refused his advances, she said, and confided in Brad Pitt, her boyfriend at the time. Mr. Pitt confronted Mr. Weinstein, and soon after, the producer warned her not to tell anyone else about his come-on. “I thought he was going to fire me,” she said.

Precisely. They have come “forward” because they know their won’t be any mega scripts coming anyone’s way, let alone theirs, now that Harvey is done he no longer has the ability to make or break. Might as well become heroines, even though they were poor defenseless youth starlets, years ago. To hell with other young women facing the beast for the past two decades.
Harvey musta done the potted plant thing with Gwyneth too. Where else would she have come up with the name “Goop?”

The stories of the Hollywood elite and their exploitation of the young and naive is nothing new. The movies have had the gateway through the casting couch for a long time going back to the early days.
There were stories about Judy Garland and even Candace Bergen being the playthings of the power players two and three generations ago, but only the broken ones already in failure mode were in danger of exposure.
Once the up and coming stars are snared in a web of sexual intrigue and drug use, their silence was assured so long as they were assured of a place in some upcoming production.
But SO many of these productions are, to put it mildly, just sleaze that was passed off as “artistry”, and failed with the great majority of former motion picture ticket purchasers. While the size of the audience declined, the price of admission spiraled up to stratospheric heights. Oh, all the “smart people” were attending and gushing about how the themes embraced were so “Modern” and just what EVERYBODY should be thinking and talking about.
The spiral continues.
I keep thinking of the eagles song that came out in the late 1970s called “King of Hollywood”. It’s about these scummy movie exes.

I believe Harvey the pig harassed her. What is hard to believe is that she said nothing to her parents, especially her father Bruce Paltrow. Her dad was a prominent successful producer at the time, and supposedly Gwyneth was very close to her father.

Everything in Hollywood is a show. Forgive the cynical conspiracy thinking, but isn’t the Weinstein scandal a diversion meant to subliminally place in the mind of the public that male, chauvinist pigs who harass women should be punished (such as Trump at the next election)? The whole escapade is highly choreographed with all the players being Hollywood actresses or producers. Meryl Streep the witch playing her usual part.
How courageous and valiant of these “powerful” women to publicly kick the dead giant AFTER he has been slain by others with far less power. Folks, the women speaking out now, AFTER Harvey has been fired, are the very ones who enabled Weinstein’s predatory practices for the last 30 years by remaining silent!
They all knew......including Hillary and Bill.
All the sexual harassment training millions of us have sat through seems absurd, when the Leftist finger-wagers who “mandated” these policies just let Bill Clinton and Weinstein freely prey on women - forever.
