The hotel does not appear to have notified the police. Then all H*ll breaks loose...
So he wasnt the hero that saved the day.
Very strange. Some posters on FR have been asking questions about the wounded guard, and suggesting that his situation is a key to this mystery. They are right.

Are they sure about this timeline?
Hmmmm, was he going to start shooting soon, because wasn’t the festival on its LAST SONG when he started??
The only sane answer is someone’s timestamp is wrong on a log or video. As the above seems highly unlikely.
And they just figured this out? Or just decided to tell us?
The hotel does not appear to have notified the police. Then all H*ll breaks loose..."
A hotel guest guns down a hotel security guard and they don't call the police? Say WHAT????????????
“a security guard who encountered Paddock was actually shot at 9:59 p.m. local time, minutes before the 64-year-old unleashed a hail of gunfire on unsuspecting concertgoers”
http://abcnews.go.com/US/latest-las-vegas-mass-shooting/story?id=50367905
Nine minutes. What the heck was the security guy doing for nine minutes? Or 6+ minutes as reported in the thread’s article. Either way, anyone else would have gotten to the elevator for security and pushed the lobby button. There’s a phone in the elevator to call for help but he had a phone on him as all reports claim he immediately called it in. Now, if he called his supervisor and the supervisor did nothing or the supervisor called 911 and it wasn’t relayed to the officers on scene, we don’t know. But someone dropped the ball. If it was the Mandalay (I suspect it was), they’d be paying everyone to keep it under wraps. They’re fixing to get some very bad publicity if this plays out.
Bfl
Then what did the hotel do in all of that time?
This certainly has become curious. My understanding of the explanation for Paddock shooting Campos was that Paddock had been shooting for several minutes and figured the jig was up, so bought himself some time by shooting the guard—seeing Campos on his camera/monitor he shot through the door.
Now they’re saying Paddock shooting at the crowd had not begun? And after the guard was shot, Mandalay did nothing, at least long enough for Paddock to kill and injure hundreds?
Why would he shoot the guard if he had not started shooting? Why would the guard be passing by his door?
In any event, after shooting Campos in the leg Paddock then began shooting down on the crowd. This is the current story?
I wondered why in the news conference sheriff Lombardo, the FBI flak (”Let’s not go there”) and another gomer kept parroting, “The facts are all that matter.”
okay I’m going to tell you something a little odd I saw the other day
I live in Las Vegas.. Sunday I drove down by the Mandalay Bay.. Mandalay Bay.is three-sided... the side the shooting was on faces the airport and that’s the side you see the two windows broken out by the shooter
... but as I drove on the freeway which is the opposite side I noticed the Mandalay Bay had four Windows shot out on that side to approximately the same floor as the shooting and two lower down
The Mandalay Bay right now has 6 Windows shot out two on the airport side where the shooting was
and four on the freeway side which is the opposite.... hotels like this don’t have random Windows broken out
I can see possibly the two on the same shooting for on the opposite side might of had bullets go across but then why the windows broken out lower down
the third side facing Russell Road south towards the welcome to Las Vegas sign did not have any Windows broken whatsoever
Why the delay calling cops? Does not add up. Was Campos his buddy or paid to letting him smuggle weapons and then they got in a dispute?
that interview with SCP’s brother Eric is interesting. Eric thinks that SCP somehow went unexplainably crazy in the course of months.
however it is consistent if SCP were a patsy and was executed instead of committing suicide.
The security guard timeline change allows the patsy scenario and also the accomplice scenario.
There seem to be wide open holes in the official account.
I wonder why no one asked Eric if he believed that his brother could have been a patsy and if so could in fact be innocent of the shootings.
If people are not going back over the timeline and re-analyzing all the conclusions then the timeline change serves to throw the media and the public off balance and possibly off track. There seems to be a need to go back and re-analyze the shooting.
There is also a need for re-analyzing if there are in fact more windows broken than just two.
The press statements in retrospect are starting to sound like a blind panic response by LE. Presuming SCP is guilty of the shooting seems as if it might be jumping to conclusions with the new timeline.
There seems to be a rush to judgment.
There also seems to be either an inadvertent or deliberate effort to misinform the public.
Both of these spell something very important and something very bad happened. And that the relevant facts may be buried forever.
...the shooting on the crowd did not happen for another 6+ minutes. That is a long time for no action to be taken on the shooting of a security guard. The mass killer may have panicked at the vision of the security guard. It may have preempted his plans, precipitating...
Agreed!
The terrorists got sloppy. The security guard was on the floor and noticed an open door (??). Said guard poked his head inside and saw all of the guns, ammo, electronics.
Scamble, scamble, terrorists are busted. They need to melt away into the night.
Paddock rented the room, and is now a risk.
They need to silence Paddock and create a diversion for escape.
Someone calculates some targeting of the concert far below (calculations are in Paddocks handwriting??)
Spray the crowd with bullets and escape into the night (??)
The security guard may have interrupted the planning for some other terror event.
What was the date and time of that event?
Why so many guns, cell phones, tannerite, and ammo?
Was Paddock simply the arms dealer.?

Investigators Probing Whether Others Were in Las Vegas Gunmans Suite
Las Vegas shooting: Queensland eyewitness to Mandalay attack [in next room 32140]
Yes, Brian said multiple shooters.....but he also said that a security guard was shot dead....not getting ANY of this story of the entire crime!
(Was this security guard possibly THE SHOOTER or an ACCOMPLICE!)....
->And from an eye-witness further down the article, capitalization is mine:
WENDY MILLER from Cooroy, on the Sunshine Coast, was also caught up in the attack. She was at a bar in the nearby LUXOR HOTEL with her husband when she saw what she described as a MAN OF INTERST run by.
We managed to make our way back to our room she told The Courier-Mail. We are in lock down. Our door is dead locked and a chair against the door.
Ms Miller said the MAN SPRINTED THROUGH HER HOTEL AFTER COMING OFF AN ESCALATOR from the MANDALAY BAY.
The man that they [SECURITY] were chasing was WEARING A SECURITY JACKET LIKE THEM. she said. ~snip~
Please note: The Luxor and Mandalay Bay are actually connected. Wendy Miller is the 2nd person at The Luxor Hotel to have witnessed the pursuit of the security guard.
First reports had Compos responding to a “smoke alarm”. There’s a lot of questions here . Sounds like there’s a personality conflict going on within hotel security because according to this report LVPD weren’t told Compos was shot. Which should required an emergency team response. This report doesn’t state if Compos remained on the 32nd floor unitl the Cops showed up and wether Paddock started shooting while Compos was still on the floor (internal security is not armed) and stopped before the cops got there and what they did after they showed up. Sounds like they evacuated the floor before they did the flash bang.
All security guards have radios.
All are heard by the control room.
When police arrive on site, security mets them, briefs them and shows them where they have to go in the building.
Cops and firemen cannot memorize all floor layouts of every building in town.
This is SOP wherever you go.
I cannot believe the guard meeting the police at the door did not know about Campos if the Campos had contacted the control room. The control room would have instructed the guard meeting the police on the situation.
In this case, it better damn well have been the head of the security shift at that time directing the police in his building, with an active shooter.
Something still does not add up here.
