Previously, the reported timeline was the security guard, Jesus Campos, was shot and wounded in the leg, by the Las Vegas mass murderer at about 10:17- 10:19, 10 minutes *after* he started shooting at the
In the revised time-line, authorities are saying Campos was shot and wounded in the leg at 9:59 p.m., as he approached the door of suite 135, on the 32nd floor. *before* the shooting on the crowd started.
There are many changes in possible scenarios that come with this revelation, and many questions.
The security guard is reported as responding to a door ajar alarm on another room. Why was he shot? Sheriff Lombardo says Campos reported the shooting immediately, but the police did not know about it until they discovered him on the 32nd floor, wounded, about 18 minutes later. From abcnews.go.com:
On Monday, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo announced a change to the sequence of events that occurred on Oct. 1, saying a security guard who encountered Paddock was actually shot at 9:59 p.m. local time, minutes before the 64-year-old unleashed a hail of gunfire on unsuspecting concertgoers.Previously, authorities had said that the security guard, Jesus Campos, was shot after Paddock had opened fire on the crowd below.
Lombardo said Campos immediately reported to hotel security that he had been shot. However, responding officers did not know Campos had been shot until they arrived on the 32nd floor and encountered him, Lombardo said.
According to the new time-line, the shooting on the crowd did not happen for another 6+ minutes. That is a long time for no action to be taken on the shooting of a security guard. The mass killer may have panicked at the vision of the security guard. It may have preempted his plans, precipitating

My theory is that multi-allergy Paddock was having a severe asthma attack due to heavy smoke. There is what appears to be a breathing spirometer on the floor near his corpse. He may have offed himself because he couldn't breathe.
He heard a drilling noise coming from Paddocks room (he was trying to install a peep hole for a camera), and went to investigate, somehow Paddock found out Campos was outside in the hallway and fired around 200 rounds at him.
We are told he fired 200 rounds through the door. Most of those would likely be when the police showed up 18 minutes later.
I do not think he deliberately shot at the avgas tanks.
He only hit them with a couple of rounds. They are big targets.
Just misses from firing at the crowd.
The guard was responding to a door ajar alarm.
My concern is he shot himself in the chest.
And many had left by then. He waited because the second (or third?) terrorist who was supposed to place the explosives got cold feet.

Las Vegas shooting: Queensland eyewitness to Mandalay attack [in next room 32140]
Yes, Brian said multiple shooters.....but he also said that a security guard was shot dead....not getting ANY of this story of the entire crime!
(Was this security guard possibly THE SHOOTER or an ACCOMPLICE!)....
->And from an eye-witness further down the article, capitalization is mine:
WENDY MILLER from Cooroy, on the Sunshine Coast, was also caught up in the attack. She was at a bar in the nearby LUXOR HOTEL with her husband when she saw what she described as a MAN OF INTERST run by.
We managed to make our way back to our room she told The Courier-Mail. We are in lock down. Our door is dead locked and a chair against the door.
Ms Miller said the MAN SPRINTED THROUGH HER HOTEL AFTER COMING OFF AN ESCALATOR from the MANDALAY BAY.
The man that they [SECURITY] were chasing was WEARING A SECURITY JACKET LIKE THEM. she said. ~snip~
Please note: The Luxor and Mandalay Bay are actually connected. Wendy Miller is the 2nd person at The Luxor Hotel to have witnessed the pursuit of the security guard.
First reports had Compos responding to a “smoke alarm”. There’s a lot of questions here . Sounds like there’s a personality conflict going on within hotel security because according to this report LVPD weren’t told Compos was shot. Which should required an emergency team response. This report doesn’t state if Compos remained on the 32nd floor unitl the Cops showed up and wether Paddock started shooting while Compos was still on the floor (internal security is not armed) and stopped before the cops got there and what they did after they showed up. Sounds like they evacuated the floor before they did the flash bang.
Pics or it didn’t happen
Then the guard would see the people leave
I’m not buying this new timeline.
Good spot. A CPAC tube indicates what could have been a physical limitation previously undiscussed.
Now there’s an interesting and disturbing take. Wow...
All I know is, there’s a lot that doesn’t add up, usually indicating some kind of ops involvement.
All security guards have radios.
All are heard by the control room.
When police arrive on site, security mets them, briefs them and shows them where they have to go in the building.
Cops and firemen cannot memorize all floor layouts of every building in town.
This is SOP wherever you go.
I cannot believe the guard meeting the police at the door did not know about Campos if the Campos had contacted the control room. The control room would have instructed the guard meeting the police on the situation.
In this case, it better damn well have been the head of the security shift at that time directing the police in his building, with an active shooter.
Something still does not add up here.
Damn son...... look at all the magazines neatly stacked in preperation
Well, that is definitely new information that one would assume to be highly relevant. You used the term 'shot out'...you mean that there was still glass in the opening but it has jagged remnants as opposed to being completely removed? What days did you observe this? Has the glass all be repaired and if so, when was that done? Have you or have you seen any pictures to confirm this?
The blue tubing with white tip was an easy observation for a nurse.
...and realize those were leftovers following the carnage.
Lots of questions... I believe you are referring to the room that had the Aussie in it. One assumes that Paddock broke the glass in the second room but if he did, that means that he had to have access to that room....how did he do that? Do we know for sure that any shots were fired from this second room? Obviously the number of shells on the floor would tell the tale on how many shots were fired from each window. What actually found in this second room? Were there any guns found in this room or were they all found in the Paddock's suite? What about this door ajar alarm? Which room was that and who was in that room? Or was that door ajar alarm for the second room which is why Campo was at that location on the floor? Not sure how many 'door ajar' alarms they typically have to deal with in a day but it just sounds way too coincidental that this would occur at the same time in the same general location. If the door ajar alarm was a different room, was it on the same side of the building overlooking the festival? Who room was that? Is it possible that Paddock (or at least someone) had a master card that could open all these rooms and somehow one of the doors was left open?
The Conservative Political Action Committee has tubes?
There was also some sort of disturbance at the Bellagio Hotel. A woman, with a youtube (link was somewhere on FR), said she and her husband were in the front area of the Bellagio having a drink when they heard gun shots and a crowd of people came rushing in. That’s a mile and a half away from the Mandalay. They thought the shooter was at the Bellagio because the shots were so loud - like slapping of wood. But the people in the casino area never heard a thing. She also said something about broken windows or glass and the staff had ever bit of it cleaned up before early checkout. Would the sound travel like that from the Mandalay or was there something else happening at the Bellagio?
I’m still thinking the security guard’s call for help was locked down tight to protect the Mandalay’s reputation. Could be the same hush hush at the Bellagio.
LOL. I guess I should try to type CPAP that hour of the morning.
