NFL anthem protests have cost the league fans of every race, color, creed, and political affiliation. On Sunday, those protests also cost them the Vice President of the United States.
Pence was in his home state of Indiana, to watch the Colts take on the visiting San Francisco 49ers. During the playing of the national anthem, all Colts players stood and showed respect for the flag. However, several 49ers did not, and protested during the playing of the song.
Pence tweeted this statement:
I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At at time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us. While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem. I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem.

The left wing media especially CNN and ESPN are going bat-sh#t crazy over Pence this morning. But he was only exercising his 1st Amendment right of freedom of speech. They praise the retards on the field for exercising theirs and bash Pence for exercising his.

As Trump tweeted, Pence had scheduled this long ago, so he gets my respect for upholding that the NFL must respect the USA or our country’s leaders need not attend.

The NFL is falling apart before our very eyes. You have the neverending anthem problem and now that video of the coke snorting Dolphin assistant coach surfacing. He resigned this morning, but the list of NFL teams he’s worked for is numerous. It leads us to believe the guy was bounced from one team to another while the league was covering it all up. The National Failure League indeed!

However, with all due respect, why is this in breaking news? I guess breaking news is my “issue” in that I see lots of stuff that really is not what I think of as truly breaking news...This article is from yesterday.
I posted this news yesterday after lunch...when it was merely a news report/twitter post. There have been probably half a dozen articles posted yesterday.
Just my opinion, but I am for decluttering breaking news. I just think breaking news should be for really important things happening at this moment or ongoing at the time posted...you know, like it breaks that there is a vote in congress, news conference, hurricane, shooting, missile launch, or earthquake...
Just a thought.
