A soap brand is apologizing for an advertisement that appears to show a black woman turning white after using their product.
"An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully," Dove brand wrote on Twitter. "We deeply regret the offense it caused."
The image has since been removed, but not before some users caught a screenshot.

How obtuse and spaced out must one be to make such a commercial these days!?
Are corporate people really this moronic?
The black chick’s tits got smaller.
There's another tragic end to what had been a promising advertising career. Thanks Rebelbase.
It would be even funnier if the black lady in the ad were Michelle Obama, and she turned into Elizabeth Warren.
It just confirms my opinion that a lot of ad people are on drugs, or are just not the sharpest knives in the drawer. I think I know what they wanted to do here, but wasn’t there anyone who saw it could be taken differently?
Rachel Dolezal could use this soap.
Obama: "Uhhh, I used all the soap and I saw on Facebook that Dove Body Wash would...well...I mean it's good for women's skin, honey. Give it a try!"
“What stupid ad writer got that through?”
Stupid ad writer?? How about the moronic VP of marketing that approved it?
She obviously didn’t wash her legs.
It would be even funnier if the black lady in the ad were Michelle Obama, and she turned into Elizabeth Warren.
Going from the frying pan to the deep fat fryer!
Loved that ad when I was a wee tike.
I remember the burger and the brouhaha. I do recall thinking that the last thing I might be inclined to do is put it into my mouth...
“New Ajax, laundry detergent, is stronger than dirt (stronger than dirt)”
In those days women wore leggings to the beach with their swimming costumes (as they were called) and the little girl was wearing them.
Shaking head then self deleting my comment.
I can’t imagine how this got by anyone. To me it is not even that it is racist- it is pretty darn bizarre!
How many people had to approve that ad? They should all be fired. This is 2017, not 1917.
Didn’t Joe Biden refer to Obama as “clean” in a 2008 private conversation?
What did it look like?
It's actually an animated GIF. See here:
