Interesting.
How many cities have Republican mayors?
We know many big cities have been run by Democrats for decades.
We’ll see if Erie goes GOP for the first time in over 50 years. That could signal some political realignments going on out there in “deplorable” America.
NY Post trying to activate the demoncrat base and get the vote out and make bus reservations for out of state votes.
An example of how long it takes for liberals to realize that DemocRATS destroy everything they touch. These folks did not have to suffer as long as they have. The Trump economy speaks for itself....well, for those with an IQ over 65.
Bring it to Seattle. Ain’t gonna happen with high prob.
The New York Post is pretty reliably conservative.
That makes no sense. I have it on the BEST authority (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NYT, and even FoxNews) that President Trump is accomplishing nothing but destroying the republican future. How could we be making gains in a city?
“A Republican candidate has not been elected mayor here since 1961, when JFK was president.” or is it elected along with JFK getting elected president. What year was the mayor elected? and when did the new elect assume office?
Author of that piece, Salena Zito, was the only print journalist to pick up on Trump carrying the rustbelt. Writes for the Post, lives in Da Burgh.
Watch Atlanta November 7th.

Memphis will vote D no matter color, though they prefer color, last 2 left the city broke. This time they elected a white D. But all the infrastructure is still mainly black run D. They gave up their school charter, which put them into position to take over the County schools. Small cities revolted, and forced the State Legislature into letting them form their own school districts. But the School board for the county gained a lot of D reps and got bigger.
The County usually goes R as do most of the smaller cities of the county.
Selena WAS a Freeper - until the ‘Conservatives’ here, ran her off. *Rolleyes*
I always liked her articles, and read her elsewhere.

You’ll note that a lot of the goons harassing her are no longer here anymore, either. Sleeper Trolls, I’m thinking.
The Republicans must fight with all fury, for they have a good chance of winning the governorship in Virginia and a fair chance at winning the governor seat in New Jersey.
As a Pennsylvania resident, I am heartened to see Erie finally get ready to throw off the shackles of socialist control that decimated their manufacturing base, destroyed their infrastructure and created a mass exodus of good people from the area while the socialists brought busloads of immigrants in.
African-Americans that support the Obama/Clinton/Democrat economic “slave plantation party” deserve every screwing they get from their Democrat tyrants and greed mongers. The worst abusers and users of Black Americans are without question, Obama, Clinton, The Congressional Black Caucus, the Democrat Party and the NAACP. The best friend and ally American Blacks have is POTUS, Donald J. Trump...period.
Wake up, folks...you have been had big time....it’s not “Whitey” doing you in, it’s your own so-called leaders that have left you and your families, to rot in your ghettos to live without opportunity and to live with murder, crime, drugs, poor education, no jobs, no equality. It’s a self-inflicted wound by your brothers and sisters, who treat you like expendable salves. Wise up brothers & sisters.....Obama & Maxine Waters ain’t in it for you all.
Local Republicans seem to be doing well. The national Republicans are a bunch of losers.
Exactly. I've read that PA going for Trump was very much due to 100,000 or more urban blacks staying home compared to 2012, but a win here might very well mean that black turnout numbers in 2008 and 2012 were outliers rather than baseline.
How many cities have Republican mayors?
...
Very few. Liberals concentrate in the cities.
An example is Texas which is a Conservative state with liberal cities.
I was born and grew up in Erie, can’t remember a GOP mayor in my lifetime, (born in 1959). Left there 41 years ago but visited there this summer, definite change in attitude and political climate, even my brother, (life long dem voter), supported and voted for Trump. There’s a change afoot.
