"Were wealthy people," Eric Paddock said. "$100,000 isnt that much money.... He gambled that much through a machine in hours.... Hes got the highest level of membership card at a lot of these [casino] hotels. If a lot of these hotels say they dont know Steve, theyre lying."
(snip)
Paddock remembered his brother as a man who used his money to take care of his family financially. "He helped make me and my family wealthy. I mean, hes the reason I was able to retire three years ago when I got really burned out doing the job I did," Eric Paddock said.
(snip)
"He didnt have a lot of friends," Paddock continued. "He was a private person. Theres a story about that hes, ohhhh, he kept his shades closed, and he didnt talk to me for the first three times he saw me walking in the neighborhood. Wow. That makes him really weird, doesnt it? He was a private guy. Thats why you cant find out anything about him, thats why theres no pictures. Is he such a weirdo because he didnt have a Facebook page and posted 50,000 damn pictures of himself every day? Whos weird?"
(snip)
But, of his brother's attack, Paddock said: "This is 100% Steve, did this by himself. People cant seem to cope with that either. But Steve is a was a highly intelligent, highly successful person. He could have done anything he wanted to do. And he did. He made himself wealthy. He made us wealthy. He was a very successful person. He gambled for 20-plus years, successfully. Its like a job to him. He did it mathematically."

I hope this entire family & all the Phillipino whackos get raked over the coals. I don’t believe any of them.
But not a psychopath?
Yes I do, but you have to watch them. Just this week I saw one player hit for 3200 and an other for 2500. Neither one put more than 40 into the machines. Timing is the key. Both players come into my bar everyday and check out which machine is being played and how much is going into it. If you pay attention you can beat the machines.
I would not be surprised if he recently learned of a serious — maybe terminal — medical condition.
I posted this elsewhere but will repeat the basic idea — Paddock could have been successful making money at live poker or sports betting. Those activities are not subject to the usual casino oversight because they are making money off the volume of play or bets, and don’t care who wins the larger payouts. All the chatter about video poker comes from a combination of one remark he’s supposed to have made plus what his brother thought was happening.
However, I tend to agree that there’s a high probability of money laundering as the real foundation of these “winnings” but if anyone has the resources, try to find out if Paddock had any profile on pro poker circuits, maybe he was winning money there too. It helps to be a sociopath to be good at live poker. Also there is on-line poker (not video poker) and you can make money doing that although it depends on your residence as to what’s legally available to play.
He started buying in October of 2016. Hmmmm.... What was going on in October of 2016. Oh yes. An election! :)
basically they just wait until others have thrown in a lotta bucks, then?
My mom and dad went to Vegas for a conference. Mom had two rolls of quarters. She watched the machine. Only put quarters in from her roll and came back with close to a thousand. She never even opened the second roll.
She was so proud of herself.
Maybe he just resented getting old. Sounds like he was scoping out concerate that attract mostly younger people. I didn’t see a Rolling Stones, Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen concert listed among the events he was looking at.
Yup, once the machine is maxed out it is going to pay out. It might take 500 in before it pays out or it might take 2500 in before it pays out. So you wait and hope nobody hits it before you give it a go. Now I am talking about bar machines not Vegas machines but I’d bet they are similar.
I havent read anything to suggest he did not have guilt, remorse, or empathy.
His relatives would be able to shed light on that eventually.
I dont believe that a psychopath would have sent the girlfriend away. He would not have cared if she got caught up in his scheme and was prosecuted.
I’m sure video surveillance coupled with saved browser activities is recorded at libraries especially because that’s where the criminals and other kiddy porn sickos are likely to do the creepy searches.
But Hillary was a guaranteed winner. I think something else triggered him. Sadly I don’t trust gov to ever give us the real scoup.
Has anyone seen Jeff Sessions lately?

“Here is a twitter source who knew and said Paul Manafort was under surveillance LONG before any media outfit reported same.
His sources are good, as is his track-record:

“There is a video, this video will prove the motive. He had a secret digital profile that was uncovered over the last 24 hrs.”
Motive will be pretty shocking, I won’t say much but it will definitely change a lot of things going forward.
Nah it was explained to me in detail, if I had the video I would have leaked it already.
Haddock had 2 more events he planned to shoot up, he planned to get away in Vegas. Something went wrong “security guard”.
GotNews reported that a security guard helped him, killed Paddock, shot bullets through the door, shot himself in the arm
There was someone in the room with the shooter, but they left before the shooting started. This 2nd person is not a women.
I’m hearing the girlfriend was radicalized, had travels to Middle East. More information to follow.”
He could have used a VPN which would have made it more difficult to trace his browsing without having physical access to his computer.
The machine is set to pay off every X number of pulls within a range. If you watch it, and count the number of pulls someone does on it and it is near the range but has not payed off and they leave, your odds are better.
One of my parents neighbors worked at McCarren airport and did well using that method.
Hitler liked dogs, so what? If randomly firing a rifle into a crowd doesn't meet the textbook definition of a psychopath, then perhaps the definition should be expanded a bit.
I would imagine they work the same way. Tho with casinos they’re open 24 hours, so it would be harder to wait til later in the day/end of the day.
But the general principle is that when it’s taken x amount of dollars it pays off - that is, it’s not just set to hit jackpot at random times?
Arm’s dealer makes more sense than ‘gambler for 20 years who beat the casinos... Flew around like the rest of us go to Publix? That’s more like an arms dealer than a gambler with comps...
It’s hard for me to take that tweeter seriously, looks like something a 4chan BSer would come up with.
